As my dyslexic friend said to me, “You must be Caracas to buy one of those”.
He also says, “Man with hole in pocket has reason to feel cocky all day” :?“But man with hole in both pockets does not feel too cocky”

Very true. He’s a very bright lad, that Confucius. Does he sit in the West Stand?
He should be easy to spot, he’s the one who never claps or puts his hands in the air. Hang on, that could be loudmouth, check his pockets for holes !
Confucius does indeed sit in the West Stand and should the lights go out he will put his hands in the air and ask all those around to do the same because, “Many hands make light work!”
Confucius say, “People who apologise a lot make many mistakes!”

Pompey are not out of the mire yet. They could still be wound-up on Monday.
And, for what it’s worth, Peter Storrie will not stay on as CEO much longer.I will start by pointing out that there were a number of us who were not only responsible for the banner but stand by what was written on it.The facts are that this squad of players is easily the best we have ever had. Look at Birmingham, Fulham, Stoke and Blackburn and tell me they have better players than us. We find ourselves up to 12 points behind some of them and unable to record a single victory against any of them (For the record I have paid good money to see all seven games). We have conceeded eight more goals (with pretty much the same back five as under Bruce) than we did in the whole of last season and there are still ten games to go. The facts are that under Martinez we are unable to defend even though he sets us up with one up top and at least one holding midfielder. Apart from a wonder goal from Scharner against Stoke the performances offensivley against Bolton, Stoke and Spurs (to name a few recent ones)were just inept.
I take foolsgold point, but no-one supports the players as much as I do. It is the managers inability to see what is happening and his ineptness to make decisions to impact on the game that brings me to the decision that he is just not up to the job. Numerous times this season he has just changed players like for like when a change in the system was required.
Tini, for the record I had not left and neither had any of the people I was with. We all clapped the players off which was fully deserved.
As for James C, I have been watching Wigan Athletic for 33 years. I remember players like Noel Ward, Peter Houghton, Joe Hinnigan and Colin Methven to name a few. I have been to Brighton, Bournmouth, Torquay, Barnet and Aldershot amongst other remote parts of the UK. I wont even get started on pre season trips to Holland.
Loudmouthblue points out the facts and they are alarming to say the least. Theres no point bleating on about beating Chelsea and Liverpool (Both of who never turned up) and then getting rolled over 4-0 at Portsmouth etc…etc…
As for standish walkerman you will be delighted to know I am sure that I have played semi pro and used to get paid for turning out half baked on a Saturday. I know ex-pros both in business and personally who I know share our views on Martinez. If you think this squad of players is good enough to fight out relegation along with Hull and Wolves then I am afraid it is you that is the idiot. And what is Xenophobic? It sounds like a playstation game that you clearly spend all your pocket money on.
Finally,I must point out that I love Wigan Athletic. I have never booed them and would NOT condone anyone who did.
Well that’s changed my mind. Martinez must go!
I think you know it’s going to be your night when Titus performs a perfect overhead kick to clear the danger when stood on his own penalty spot.
9 March 2010 at 8:01 pm in reply to: Moses to lead us through the Red Sea to the promised land ! #25911Well, didn’t quite go according to the script; but who cares with three bonus points in the bag !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He could have set up Scotland towards the end instead of going for glory from an impossible angle.
Mind you, would you pass to Scotland, even if he was stood on the penalty spot with no one near him….!!!
Bored Griff?

Enjoy!Bored Griff?
I also heard a rumour that Marlon King’s father is Spanish and wanted to call his son Juan.
I know, I know…………
There was a chap called Ufarte who played for Spain in the 1966 World Cup.
I’m old enough to remember these things.
I think Sephton is having a “Dave from Skem” type breakdown.
I’m starting a campaign to save Wigan Athletic from relegation. The campaign is called SOS Latics. We want to give the players as much support as possible by first going to the training ground and cheering them all 1 by 1. Another idea i’ve got is going round the stadium as part of a campaign for Whelan to speak out for once.I know for a fact moral is falling and only the Latics supporters can help. If you would like to save our Wigan Athletic FC PM me back.
Liam Sephton
If you want my two-penneth, I think by far the best and most easily achieved way of showing support is not to boo!
In all honestly, I actually quite like the idea of a Wigan band.
Sadly “Whelan’s” band that Blueview initailly referred to was not in fact the Wigan band at all. It was the Pemberton Old Brass Band based on Tunstall Lane which Whelan sponsored some years ago and it was renamed to, yep you guessed it, the JJB Brass Band.
I’m not 100% sure of their recent history and so i can’t confirm whether they are still called that but, they are a brass band and they are from Wigan…
Whelan must still sponsor them because I saw a van on Tunstall Lane the other day with “DW Brass Band” emblazoned all over it. -
