I think the squad is quite good, whilst watching the QPR game was struggling to find one of their players that I’d swap with one of ours.
With a decent coach I think this squad could make the play offs. Don’t particularly like the guy, but his teams always look well coached and balanced. Ladies and gentlemen I give you…. The Brolly Man!

I’d swap both their centre-backs for ours and I didn’t even watch the game.

He did in Mulgrew but won’t play him.

You can only conclude from that that he was brought in as cover only. I’m talking about someone still in their twenties who is a definite shoe-in for every game.

Where’s all that preseason optimism gone?

Its gone after 5 straight defeats scoring one goal. Yes he’s had some hard lines with his injuries again, but he’s not making the best of what he’s got.
Dunkley and Kipre are nowhere near good enough at this level. Not signing at least one permanent and experienced centre back is baffling.

In fairness to vat it seems our defending let’s us down yet again.

Is it any wonder that the one area which we didn’t strengthen is the one which is letting us down.

Typical away performance. Plenty ball, plenty chances, concede a soft goal

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

                    Stupidstu and Sammy.

And you wonder why people dont bother posting on here. And you cant say its me, as Ive had long breaks.

Done and dusted now. Cant be arsed with this nonsense. Arguing with me that its perfectly alright to have a referee from West Yorkshire for a game v Leeds? Oh fuck off! Please

Absolute pisstake. Im wasting my time. Tarrreaaaaa

If I think you are talking bollocks then I’ll say so. Your moan about the ref being biased because he’s from a town near Leeds is just plain silly. The reason we lost that game had nothing at all to do with performance of the referee but more to do with us not being good enough on the day and reckless in our play.

No overreacting from me, I am merely commenting on what I have seen……

On the question of your overreactions, aside from perhaps the leniency shown towards some of the challenges on Moore, I don’t know what major decisions the referee got wrong that would make you arrive at the conclusion he was the “Worst referee ever”?

I take all your points, GL, etc.

Watch the highlights and the sending off again. Looks as if he wasnt going to do anything, until Williams turns around and he remembers he has already booked him. Can see with his body language. That said, Williams foot WAS very raised.

But I still think its crazy having a referee from Huddersfield, refereeing Saturdays game with Leeds. Bad deligating of referee, that by the FA. As it would be if the referee had been from somewhere near Wigan.
Surely they couldve given it to someone from Staffordshire, or somewhere like that? But anyway, its done and dusted now. Drawing a line under Saturday now because nothing good came out of it.

Even for you this is a mind baffling over reaction.

Maybe he took his time because he knew he had already booked him and wanted to be absolutely sure it warranted at least a second yellow. There could have been no arguments had it been a straight red so perhaps he was being too lenient.

As for your accusation he was bias because he comes from a town near Leeds is just too ridiculous to present any kind of rebuttal.

The fear has been that if one club folds under the circumstances Bury and Bolton find themselves in then it could start a domino effect and the existing 72 club English football league system could be in serious trouble. The EFL have questions to answer about their rules and regulations regarding the credibility of persons/organisations owing football clubs. However, I think the financial situation some clubs find themselves in and the efforts the EFL go to try and keep them in existence has led to a turning of a blind eye to their own rules and allowed charlatans of dubious intentions to infiltrate the football world and that’s why these two clubs in particular are faced with the prospect of being expelled from the football league.

Vat, I’m really sorry to disagree with you. But what in your opinion constitutes as a big club. You raise some points in your post, but we are far from a big club.

We’re not even close to being a big club and as for the 13k home attendance there were probably 9,000 home fans tops.
I never said we are a big club, but we are not a small club either.

In fact, if you were to compare every club out of the Premier League, and Football League over the last 20 years, we would probably come in the top 30 clubs, judged on successes and achievements.

There are many clubs who would love to achieve what we have and what we are.

Dont judge us as small just because Wiganers are lazy fickle bastards who wont get behind their local club unless its on the brink of achievement. 13k on on Saturday, come May if we have a decisive game, another 10,000 will crawl out of the woodwork, we all know that.
I don’t know why you are getting so agitated about this VAT. If we are perceived to be a small club, whatever your definition of that may be, then so be it. Take pleasure in the fact we’ve provoked a Billy big bollocks club or, even better, one that think they are by spanking their bums.

We sing “Little Wigan taking the piss” FFS so it can’t be said we’re trying to change that perception.

Didn’t see any of that in the article. They refer to us as a small club who will see Cardiff as a scalp. I’d say that’s pretty much bob on. We’re a small club and they are favourites to go up.

                              Disagree.

We are NOT a small club. Havent been for some time. A ‘small club’ don’t go out and spend 12 mil on new players. Nor do I see Cardiff as a ‘scalp’. Their team, on paper, and as it happens on the pitch,is no better than ours. As it proved. The fact they had Gary Madine up front always had me hopeful beforehand anyway. Oh and I was right about they Ralls being a handy player.

A small club doesnt get a 13k home attendance, at a time when a lot of Wiganers are still off on their jollies. If we are a small club, so are Preston, Blackburn, etc, based on this kind of thinking.

Sick of us being seen as a small club…we arent. We are a thriving club, definitely, and one thats on the way back up. Very worthy of our place in the Championship, and definitely not a small club. I told a Cardiff fan online that they just looked like your standard Championship side…hard working, tight, well drilled. I.E. Middlesborough, Hull, Brentford, Bristol City, and so on and so forth. 90% of teams in this league are the same.
But I think we are in the other 10%, I really do. I think Derby County are as well, as it happens.
It seems the inadequacies of the men’s national team also afflicts that of the women’s, especially the inability to convert penalties.
