Bit of WWE wouldnt go amiss, and if anyone knows someone who gets these mythical freebies to rugby games every week can you send em my way so I can save myself 200 and odd quid a year?
As for the actual takeover…..I’m glad they won’t be someone who throws money around because as people have said there is less chance of them spitting their dummies out if things don’t go to plan but hopefully we do have a slightly larger budget than we do now to enable us to compete at a higher level.
So they meet on a Monday, play Wednesday?
When do they train, travel, prepare??
Wankstains with us until 2050! ha ha ha
Fear not herr Moss, the joke sport will have disappeared professionally long before 2050. Just played by keen enthusiasts desperate to keep the memories alive. Not unlike a Northern Soul shindig. Old clips being shown on some obscure channel that nobody watches except the sad old eggs who cannot believe that their beloved sport has been forgotten. Passed over by tv who would rather broadcast kabaddi and the British topiary championships.[/quote]
You hope
You mean we arent gonna be the new city? Bloody hell.
Of course the club will be happy with 21st because our only goal is survival. Yes everybody wants to finish as high up the league as possible but each and every place above 21st is a bonus.
If we finish 21st, I can guarantee the club will be celebrating.
The first target for any promoted side should be to finish one place above the relegation zone – anything else is a bonus.Correct mutty, especially if we are a very small fish in a massive pond.
Thankfully I couldn’t make it yesterday and the game wasn’t on any of the streams I had available so I can’t comment on the performance but it was never going to be an easy game as people had said all week.
Position wise we should probably be the opposite way around, but we aren’t because Cook is doing a great job. We have poor results from time to time that is sport and a big loss to a local rival always hurts that little bit more, but it is how we react to it that matters for me.
I don’t expect us to get anything from any games this season except maybe Rotherham and Blackburn as they came up with us so any result is a bonus result, and we just need to do whatever to survive this season and build season on season until we can be seen as established at this level like I would aay Preston are.
Bad result? Yes.
Poor performance? Possibly.
End of the world? Not at all.He won’t feel it in the same way but that doesn’t mean he won’t feel it. Some coaches and players have a genuine love for a club other than the one they may neccessarily support.
I quite liked his interview personally, I think he has probably given the hair dryer treatment in the dressing room but rightly has kept it behind closed doors.
There’s one of the problems….Grigg a great finisher and I think with right support from the flanks he can do it in this league. Trouble is if he out of form or injured then no real goalscorer. I like Garner for his nuisance value and same applies to Vaughan but goal threat ???. Powell vanished last night 2nd half and pushing him into lone striker role is pointless.I work in Blackburn so the banter with Rovers fans is endlessly around Dack or Powell ??? Powell definitely has the tools and quality but he at present doesn’t drive the team forward with the same energy or threat like Dack does for Rovers.Would I swap ???..Question certainly getting harder to answer .Powell being constantly substituted doesn’t help our cause and we certainly need him to emulate Dack and grab games by the scruff and perform. They both have an edge and are key to both teams season, Dack edges him Imo…for now at least. Would Windass be a better option ? Openly admitted he prefers that role and his best run of goals came down the middle, certainly wasted out wide.Getting the best out of Grigg has to come with supply from wide and that then becomes imperative that Macmanaman is given more game time.If we played a midfield 3 of Evans, Morsy and Gibson then we could play Powell, Windass and Grigg as a front 3.
If we beat North End on Saturday I reckon Neil will get the boot as well!Leave him to continue his magnificent work
More chance of me being named boss at Villa than Cookie.
And forget whether Everton fans want him, would he want them.
Think he been injured for the most part mutty TBH.
Agree on Reece James though.
I don’t think he has actually been fully fit since we signed him Donny, but I agree he should be the straight swap for Massey.
Hey Eggy Fella.Don’t knock the out of town Latics fans; cos you’ll find them more loyal that your average Wigan Mon ! I was born in wrightington, then exiled to Croston then Lostock Hall; but have always followed the Latics ! Even when I lived in Larne, I flew home on alternate weekends to follow the Latics ! That’s loyalty !
Not knocking anybody pal, was a tongue in cheek comment hence the winky thing.
Although the rugby do get it in the neck for their out of town fans who do similar to yourself and in most cases still actually support their local side.
Spot on Pie Army. We are NOT a Championship club. We are punching well above our weight and anything above 22nd will be a good season as it would be each and every season.
The starting XI was the same side that beat a good Bristol City side last week so why would we not keep the same XI?
