We survived on the final day last season?
Why was I not surprised when I saw it were Liverpool that was involved.Wasn’t their fault though
I’d say it was pretty simple really. If you’re playing against a team you know you will be competing with at the end of the season then a game against them is usually ‘must win’ for the simple fact it means they get 0 points and you get 3. Yes there are another 36 games to go and you could lose and still survive, but at the start of the season when you plan your season you will mark that game as ‘must win’.
On the other side of the coin, Man Utd would see games against the lesser clubs as ‘must win’ otherwise they’ll fail to win the title. What they get off the sides around them is a bonus. If they were to drop points against the lesser sides, then their games against Man City and the like would become ‘must win’. IE – City will see their trip to OT as ‘must win’.
Not sure where this three at the back saying comes from. I’d swear i watch a 5-4-1 formation most weeks. We play with wing backs. When we are defending we play a 5-4-1. When we’re attacking we play a 3-4-3.
Defending
Boyce Ramis Caldwell Figueroa Beausejour (well that’s where he’s meant to be)
Kone McArthur McCarthy Maloney
Di Santo
Attacking
Ramis Caldwell Figueroa
Boyce McArthur McCarthy Beausejour (well that’s where he’s meant to be now)
Kone Di Santo Maloney
I’d have Bullard over any midfielder at the club.Ellington over any forward just about.

Is that the Nathan Ellington that failed in the Premier League?
Bullard was a good player but he wasn’t the big deal everybody thought he was. Some of his passing at times was woeful. Better than any midfielder at the club now? Depends what you’re asking him to do.
Scousers played a team were the keeper had been told to let in 3 goals, despite getting 7 shots on target they still could only manage 1.Brilliant !
I quite like that goodpost
Fook me it took you 16mins to find them two well done. Oh and Roy Hodgson also he needs your advise also.Yes I was scratching my head all that time
Tell Fergie that,I’m sure he could do with some advise from you.Possibly yes. He also thought Djemba-Djemba and Kleberson were good so he obviously makes mistakes.
some are travelling a decent distance to be there.Indeed. I’ll be walking for at most 30 minutes to get there.
I fear this could be the year because we just aren’t getting the rub of the green this year. I do think this group of players have the ability to pull it off though if they can cut out the silly errors.
Like Griff and Standish have said many times before, he isn’t going to say anything negative about his side to the media but one has to admit, his post match interviews are getting more bizarre by the week, not to mention his rapidly thinning hairline ! It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it !
Bizarre? Bland maybe, but certainly not bizarre. Soemtimes his English is not 100% native but you try cleaning windows in Spanish and se how you get on ;)
Said it before, and I’ll say it again – I couldn’t give a monkey’s what he says in public, it’s what he says in the dressing room that matters.
It would appear that your English isn’t too clever of late ! By the way RM’s English is nigh on perfect as it should be having lived and worked amongst English speaking folk for almost 18 years ! I am fairly confident that I would be speaking fluent Spanish now if I had been living in Spain in similar circumstances for the last 18 years ! B)
He has lived in Scotland, Wales and Wigan. I’m not sure there are many people fluent in the English language from those places based on speaking to them in my job.
Apparently Kone is on his way back and may feature in the Chelsea game if he isn’t suffering any side affects from travelling.
If he gets side effects from an 18 hour first class flight, with zero time difference, following 3 weeks sat on his backside I’ll eat my match ticket!
I’d put some sauce on it first.
Alcaraz has been expected back since September
We need a settled side for a start off. Now that Kone should be heading back I would look to go with:
Ali
Boyce
Scharner
Caldwell
Golobart
FigueroaMcArthur
McCarthy
EspinozaMaloney
Di Santo
KoneVery strong side that, helped by the fact that you have one too many players in it!! ;)
We need all the help we can get.
(Take Golobart out and play a back 4 lol)
