Paul Jewell used to, and still does, get castigated for accentuating the negatives. Roberto Martinez gets a going over for being too positive. You can’t please all of the people all of the time, but on here it seems you can’t even please some of the people some of the time.
Filmoss, apart from the re-decoration and allowing for 5 years of price increases I would think it would be exactly the same as pre-premiership days.
As for the sports hall, hardly anybody goes in there nowadays beacuse it’s such a spartan and soulless plaece. I heard somebody call it Tenko once and I can understand why. I would imagine the manageress has done very well thanks out of 5 years of the supporters club, and as far as I know it will still be open, so I don’t think it’s a sob story. And if I remember right I used to go in the South Stand in my scruffs so although it’s smart inside I doubt you’ll have to get dressed up to go in.

Why is it that when we miss chances it’s because our forwards are bad but when other teams miss against us it’s just us being lucky?
The title of the thread is Why change a winning team. By the 2nd post 2 changes had already been proposed and more followed. Strange.
And why do people want to get shut of Diame? I think he’s been excellent these last 2 or 3 games.
I don’t know either of you two from Adam, but I’d say Griff has Vat on the ropes and Vat is swinging aimlessly and landing nothing.
You say he put the debt there in the first place. And how did that happen exactly?
I was recently shown a copy of the WEP going back to probably sometime in 1997. The front page headline was an announcement by Jack Robinson of the rugby’s plans to build their own stadium. I don’t think it said where they were intending building it. But it did make a point of reporting that this follows the news of the announcement that Latics and Orrell RU were building a dual usage stadium at Robin Park.
Although the klumps fans insist that the DW stadium was only built because of their involvement, this piece blew their arguments out of the water.
It reminds me of the child who dashes and hides behind the couch, when something comes on television that they don’t like.

That’s a bit like Chubby Brown calling somebody foul mouthed.

What a stupid statement. The original poster was just saying he hopes we can stay up and he’s feeling a little more positive.
Why is it in some posts people are moaning about us not taking the chances we created in the 2nd half to finish the game off, yet in other posts they are moaning because we never got out of our own half in the 2nd half. Both couldn’t have happened.
A Man City fan I work with watched on the telly and said exactly the same s the baggies fan quoted above. Like the criticism of Gomez after the Bolton game, it seems some our fans can’t see past the scapegoat mantle that they’ve given to somebody.
I think the “we’re doomed” scenario depends on how you answer this question.
Do I support Wigan Athletic, the football club, or do I support Wigan Athletic, the Premier League football club. If it’s the latter, then yes we are doomed and you’ll no doubt walk away like many others. If it’s the former, then we aren’t doomed, we’ll simply be playing at a lower level.
Never before has the phrase “Get a life” been more appropriate.
