      I can’t believe somebody has said that Gomez was dross. It just shows a closed mind and a prejudging attitude. In the first half he split Bolton’s defence open time and again. If somebody is judged to be dross because they can’t tackle then it’s a sad state of affairs.

          Tea Bag, I know as much about Brenda Spencer as the average Latics supporter. For your info my 1st match was, at a guess 1963ish, but I started watching regularly when Gordon Milne took over. So I was around when Bill Kenyon brought Brenda Spencer along with him. I also remember that when Steven Gage bought Kenyon out he chased him up hill and down dale and eventually got the money back that he took out of the club. Yet he and then Dave Whelan kept her on. Do you think they’d both do that if she was sponging off the club.

          I realise it wasn’t you that said she was but it you that highlighted that one statement. I don’t think for minute JayT was approving that one statement when he said it was a good piece. Just approving the general feeling of the original post.

                            Whelan should be getting his priorities right, Has he forgotten that he is the chairman of a football club who are struggling for crowds, players, points and status. This joke of a man has to go and earn his money out of other mugs.
