A brilliant win tonight and a real chance of staying up now , how many of us would have said that a few months ago?
Still a few cup finals to go though but two brilliant back to back wins give us real hope.
If Richardson keeps us up then he deserves the job 100% because that would be the greatest escape ever in our history !
So proud , well done lads and particularly young Langy proving to any young player struggling to make headway to stick at it and be loyal and you never know what can happen. It’s great news and I agree 100% they should look to reinstate the old staff so callously treated.
We may have to start at the bottom of the Football
League next season but at least we have a club to support and look how well Bolton are doing now.
As Paul Cook used to say “small steps” which is another word for patience and that is what we all need going forward, no place for Jonny come latelys that’s for sure!
More importantly is the way the club is run in the future will be vital to avoid this ever happening again.
Keep the excellent youth policy going which is obviously a big feature of our club now given our excellent position between the two major football cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
Youth recruitment is global now and it’s been obvious for a few years now we are well placed geographically to pick up the drop off talent.
Use the ground for anything and everything to bring in revenue and get the local kids interested and involved in the club like Dave Whelan did so successfully when he came in back in 1995.
Spruce up the concourses and facilities and get people into the ground early , again extra revenue to help the club.
As I said we all need patience and so do the owners as there will be no quick way back the championship without a proper long term plan.
Hopefully we can stay in league 1 and I have every faith they will do ,just .
Meeting my son and chewing the fat for a few hours whilst watching the game and having a few pints.
Finally seeing the wonderful Keith V outside the east stand having his pre match Bacca ,a legend if ever there was one !
Will be very emotional when we do go back , will need the dark glasses that day that’s for sure.💙💙Absolutely brilliant news and hopefully decent owners who will take us very steadily back to where we used to be.
I’ve given up even looking for updates now and no surprises they have ceased the weekly updates.
Past caring and I never thought I would ever say that !!A group of tics fans doing a bike ride for the appeal on Monday at 12pm at the stadium.
My own son being amongst them, a diehard since he was 4 a href=”https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/bike-ride-for-the-tics” rel=”nofollow”>https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/bike-ride-for-the-tics[qu
Wish Will had come back

The list is endless of sentimental signings coming back and FAILING and no doubt wages would no doubt have been too high given our current predicament.
One of the iconic players of Latics in recent times and his two previous league 1 seasons here were exceptional but glad he has gone elsewhere.
Good Lad though , hope he gets his career going againI still can’t stop thinking about that late daft Charlton goal, how different things would be[/quote]
I felt when that goal went in it was a significant moment , like a dagger in the ribs event.
The following day those undeserving underachieving bastards from Yorkshire grabbed a late victory at forest and an unlikely
lifeline.
I doubt they would have had any belief The following day we would have been sorted by the Sunday night.
As you can see I cannot even mention their name and I tell you now 100% if the same happens to them in the future I will have zero sympathy no danger!
A huge mess and never ending saga that is looking grimmer by the day.Wouldn’t wish our last 6 months on anyone. I never wanted Bolton to go bust, they’re our main rivals and we need them.
Barnsley on the other hand….
Their whole antics through this have been appalling and I don’t just mean the fans.
Agree 100% , if ever those pit village fecks ever face the same as we have done I will have no sympathy with them that’s for sure!
Our day will come of that there is now doubt !
Be nice on the way up and all that
Up the Tics , onwards and upwards for 2021 !Was looking at the championship table yesterday and saw that Barsteadley Fc were sitting pretty near the play off places.
Couldn’t help feeling that is where we would have been and BFC where we are now but for all Of this.
Hate being bitter but reading some of their comments on social media rankles knowing they do not deserve it.
Long come the day when we get our revenge on the pitch , karma can take years but it will happen believe me !At least we are talking about the football rather than all the financial mess that started last summer.
True Latics fight and determination That we all know and love.
Another four goals rattled in and brilliant to see another youth product getting a hat trick which makes him almost a one in two striker according to his stats.
On a downside the window opens up again this week and given his contract ends this summer I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go unless this takeover is completed to get him a new contract sorted.
Cannot praise some
Of these lads enough at the moment showing us all what the club is all about and better times around the corner I am sure of it.
Happy 2021 everyone , can’t be any worse surely ?The good old Football Pink eh ?
An old favourite on the way home from games in the 70s and 80s mainly but part of football culture now.
I used to moan to my lad crossing the bridge after games especially on freezing cold rainy days or nights that I was packing it in for the next season especially after another defeat.
What I wouldn’t now give to be navigating the dodgy bridge with the usual inevitable thick biker mistiming his journey and all the gobby away fans looking for a rumble !
Or the night we waded through that freezing cold flood water under the railway bridge after Blunderland robbed us in January 2012.
Have to say I have missed the games but more so the camaraderie you would see at games especially between long standing friends and family.
The (many) messy boozy nights after big victories live long in the memory now and we just have to tough it out until next September I now think.
Have to keep the faith and remember why we first started going , for me it was Port Vale at home on good Friday 1979 and the famous 5-3 comeback .
We will be back and we won’t half appreciate it.I don’t think anyone could argue about Blunderland having size and potential even in jest.
Bad management and karma are all playing a part a I have never forgiven them for that flukey wind and other dubious factors assisted victory at our place all those years ago.
A great result and a very sweet one by our loyal little squad and dare I say it one of the best for many a year.I don’t think anyone could argue about Blunderland having size and potential even in jest.
