Dreadful first half performance and laurel
And hardy defending in the second half however a point is better than I expected and bogles performance and set piece goals gives some hope for the coming weeks.
A tough month ahead but a point gained in my view.

Crucial month this and doesn’t look good at the moment .

11 years also since I went to old Trafford towers and given the amount of times I had to show my pass sorry ticket to various stewards just to
Move around the effing place a theme park is what it has become.
To get to the seat I was searched and had to show the ticket four times to
          Various jobsworths.
i think this is the future of top flight football now and the emotion and enjoyment of the game at tht level is being sucked away by corporate greed.
A game that exists without trophies isn’t far away given the lack of respect shown by some clubs at te weekend to the oldest domestic cup competion.
Joke city and west humdrum get off at reaching 40
Points these days for another season Of mid table drudgery.
Dave whelan and his grandson hold up the old fashioned values of yesteryear like looking after the supporters and for that we should be proud
Are we worse off now we are away from this crap???
          Definitely not

Seems to have awakened the old spirit with a few tweaks and yesterday’s performance was by far the best at the DW this season.
I think it is bye bye bottom three and some teams might be surprised at the teams turnaround from now on.

Shades of the 2014-15 season however this team is poorer than that in my opinion.
A total lack of ambition will send this club into oblivion if some serious team investment is not made in the new year.
The rot set in in 2009 when we went from an established premier league outfit in the top ten to a club fighting relegation each season.
Yes we won a major trophy in that time but the club has most certainly been in decline since then regardless of that
Last night was like watching schoolboys play their teachers and I realised then that regardless of manager ( ridiculous decision sacking caldwelll btw )we have had it unless changes in playing personnel are made in January and the war chest brought out !.

Reminded me of the performance at Arsenal in 2012 when we snatched a 2-1 shock victory.
Huddersfield are a very impressive team and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the play off mix so last nights win was superb.
Bad for the nerves yes but it proves this group has character and desire for the fight that
                Lies ahead.
                interesting times ahead for sure

the man is Wigan athletic through and through and there is no doubt which club holds the whip hand with the ground .
That said his grandson needs to stabilise the club in the championship because relegation could undo all of this but the good thing is that the family is staying with latics for many years to come is this monument is anything to go by.
There needs to be a sort out in January and some significant pruning of the squad needs to be done. I am sure we will survive this season.
                  Well done DW

the result may well be a blessing in disguise and he really starts today to get things moving.
Gut feeling is we will stay up just once he starts to organise things.

So we have sacked a manager that had to clear out all the dead wood and start again on a low budget and in league 1 and who was being shouted at for the sack around this time last year.
he then turns it round wins the title in a league that is a graveyard for former premier league clubs and takes the club into a league with clubs spending 50 million on players without batting an eyelid.
He has the expected poor start and struggles to find a rhythm but this is precisely what he did last season so I like a few others thought he will turn it around at some point given his superb track record so far.
He has a narrow defeat at the weekend against a team in second position and one of the promotion favourites and all hell breaks loose on social with crys of sack him and the like.
He was superman a few weeks back but in this new world you have to win every game to be safe and it’s getting worse.
Good luck GC you gave us one of the most memorable seasons EVER watching the mighty tics and for that alone you deserved a bit more time and a bit of patience.
Very bad move in my opinion not that bothered who comes in anymore the game is fecked

His goal against arsenal and the obvious West Ham brace will
Live long and hard in the memory especially when faced with some of the dross on show at the moment .

Leeds average about 20k home supporters so they are one of the better supported teams in the efl so gate receipts won’t be a problem or will they?
I also don’t see many big names in that squad so again the wage bill will hardly be a crippling one surely ?
I have a simple policy with away games if the price is above 25 quid I won’t go end of as I don’t think the standard of football is worth it.
Football isn’t like a concert it the theatre you are not guaranteed entertainment and also always annoys me when they try to charge similar prices.
Don’t go and hopefully young dave and jj will return the favour to them next May with similar prices .

A night out in manchester would cost more than one of our season tickets.
As for the lump sum bit haven’t we invented something called a credit card now ?

Me and my lad have started calling the queue at the east stand for overpriced tickets the “thick queue ”
How else could you explain somebody dense enough not to take advantage of £199 for 23 games but stupid enough to pay almost £30 for one game when they could get in for 4 games for the same price?
You most certainly do not need to be in the higher income bracket to take advantage of such a good deal but people, with go into bling st (sorry. King st) and waste that amount on copious amounts of drink and other substances once a month then moan about football ticket prices.
I paid 179 quid for 23 games and I just cannot understand the mentality of the numbskulls who pay the ridiculous on the day prices .
it isn’t for the wealthy it is for the committed and those that choose to buy a season ticket will find the cost much lower than tossers who attend games when the club is on a winning run etc.

I didn’t expect much today but at least we didn’t get battered and we have an appalling opening day record.
The second goal was very fortunate Not that disheartened.

The Latics away support never ceases to amaze me Ian’s what a brilliant loyal bunch we have.
The eggs poor support never ceases to amaze me either given that we live in this mythic ‘rugby town ‘ where everyone in sight wears cherry and white allegedly.
Whatever the reasons its very clear that we now have firmly become a football town and the rugby has lost a generation of supporters after the games shift to summer back in 1995.
