Frustrating game another day and we would have stuck three or four past them and their goalkeeper had a stormer second half after a dodgy start.Great goal from the mighty Grigg again what a great signing he has turned out to be slightly leggy and got desperate near the end but still could have won it if Grigg had finished that last chance.
They looked pacy and dangerous going forward and a point each was about right given that that free kick was an incredible goal but I was gutted at the end as we would have gone 7 clear of 3rd spot which at this stage would have been very significant.
Millbrawl look the danger team in the pack if you ask me and from here on in the games look much tougher and we will have to calm our nerves because I felt the pressure told a bit on the players today.
I still fully expect us to get promoted automatically but we make sure we avoid complacency but it is in our hands and we have the quality to do it.
Up the effing tics !!!!This was our best result of the season and the game changed when morsy was any off as it always does when a man gets sent off.
We defended solidly against a direct side and for me that was a superb performance and a fantastic point won.
The sending off was extremely harsh especially as one of their cloggers got away with something similar and no card given.
i also watched the game in the marquee and it was good night put on by the club for the supporters ,well doneto say 3-0 flattered Bury would be the biggest understatement ever , should have been seven at least.
They were totally outclassed by a team that looks nailed on for automatic promotion.

Our average points per game so far suggests a final total of about 85 points which usually achieves automatic promotion at this level.

Not much I bet given the proximity of the river and that fact it used to house the towns rubbish tip and sewage tanks.

He also played a significant role in the late victory over gillingham recently so all in all he had a hand in winning anextra few points for us.
He was a bit lightweight and has a good deal to learn but the negative comment above is very unfair really given his age and experience. He always seemed to give his all and I think he will be remembered for quite a while by the supporters.

Saturday was easily the best performance of the season and can’t see anything but automatic promotion from the team this year if thy is anything to go by.

Our away form has been bitty and we have had ar too many draws when we should have come away with wins.
we haven’t really been in the frame for automatic promotion until now and I havent sensed the other clubs see us as a big scalp either so from this unassuming position I feel we CAN get in the top two now.
The intensity seems to have upped a gear and I felt players were scrapping and fighting a lot more yesterday as some of them could lose their places for good with one bad performance.
Promotion is very very important for the club this year as we need to extra income from away support that the championship brings.

Thought Chesterfield gave it a go second half but the effort levels were much better than Tuesday night so we weathered the storm.

65 minutes of garbage then bang a puff of smoke and we tore them apart for the remainder.
