It’s all true though and worthy of a mention I reckon.
The team last night was made up of largely second string players and they were bloody magnificent !
Kellet surely must start on Saturday

dreadful from start to finish and a 0/10 from me and a worrying trend continues with the woeful away form.
i would have them in tomorrow for extra training because that wasn’t acceptable for a wigan athletic team.
        0/10

deserved that we totally dominated from start to finish despite their negative spoiling tactics.
Crap refereeing also at least two good penalty shouts ignored in the first half.the lads deserve credit for keeping their heads in the face of those spoiling tactics.
Brilliant ending and maybe a game we will look back on as a defining one come May.

Outstanding all over the pitch today 10 out of 10
Get it sorted away from home and we will be right up there .
Five off the top and I doubt many teams will come here and get a result

Graeme Jones for his magnificent first season in 1996-97 he was a slower version of Alan shearer.golden boot winner with 33 league goals an amazing feat.
His winning goal against Torquay at the death that season is probably the best headed goal I have ever seen.
Amazed he hasn’t warranted a mention as he started the clubs ascent up the leagues.

Spent nearly 300 million and won no trophies in his 3 year stint.
Latics are more successful than the once mighty Liverpool if you gauge major trophies as success which I most certainly do.

Instead of looking at the negatives let’s take the positives

                  Unbeaten at home
Point against an in form high flying team with ten and would have won barring that!
In touch with the leaders whilst still not playing that well
100% effort from all and sundry today all pulling their tripe out
Jussie has a good solid game in goal and runs his box superbly like an extra player after the sending off.

Final comment – bury next week and a tight little ground with a good away following – can see a win there
300% better than last season and lots of positives far more than negatives

All those games are winnable – we shouldn’t fear anyone particularly at home.

My take on today is that we achieved a scruffy win against a team that had a real go in the second half.
defended well and put in 150% which is all you can ask for and I agree what will we achieve once the team finds it feet?
Superb goal from wigan lad Flores and he was my man and of the match for that goal and assist alone.
One little moan all those fookin part time supporters queuing at the cash turnstiles because we have picked up a bit recently -tossers!!!

Should have took the point and settled for that given the pace of their forwards.
Naivety really Caldwell hopefully will learn from that but deffo a point chucked away.
Still fleet wood at home ( the joys

Remember seeing the fat bloke who played the jealous copper on the TV series ‘life on Mars ‘ .
He was in the east stand concourse and somebody pointed him out. He didnt seem too pleased to be spotted so we left him alone.
His name in the show was ‘ Ray ‘ I think and this is going back about 7 years at least and he may just have nabbed a freebie whilst he was filming but I reckon we can call him a celebrity fan.
Agree with maconie not being classed as a fan , saw him near worsley mesnes many years back and nodded at him to say hello and he just blanked me outright.

With the new belief and our fantastic away support then I certainly agree with you.
Amazing what a few wins can do and I have been surprised at how entertaining this division is.
A far cry from last season

Surprised Blunderland haven’t pulled the trigger yet as we have already had the first mass sulk this season from their ever so fickle fans.

Slowly but surely this bunch of players are gelling and who would bet against a win next week at vale park.

The signings yesterday impressed me a great deal particularly Kellet who was on loan at Utd last year and the lads we have brought in look like bargains in the main, they have recruited really well- well done!
The start we have made at home is very encouraging but the way the young lads have applied themselves and their effort and honesty gives us all hope that the dreadful rot has been stopped.
would rather see hungry players with something to prove rather than has beens and overall the transfer business has been conducted in the correct fashion and they have obviously sent out scouts and recruited well.
I’m not saying we will batter this league or even make the play offs but to see these youngsters having a go and trying their best is far more satisfying than seeing mercanries clutter up our squad.
I was a gloomy as hell a few weeks back but the performances against Crewe and Scunthorpe have lifted my spirits and the team seems to be gelling very quickly.
I’m predicting a win on Saturday and a move towards the top – bloody hell what a feeling it is to be positive at last!
