Any International with the top level experience that he has is very welcomed in my view. Maybe with Di Santo also, Kamikaze Martinez maybe has decided that one up top doesn’t work. Still unhappy at the moment but we will just have to see. The fairytale ending could just yet be in sight. That signing and the Di Santo rumour is a glimmer of hope for me.

A proper fan who likes to pay and support his team or a fan who likes football unlike you who has turned his back not only on WAFC but on football in general ! I do read your posts ya know ! Seeing as you deplore the way football has gone that much then may I ask as to why you are lurking around a ” Football ” forum ? Might I suggest you try the rugby ! :oops:

Well entitled to that opinion and is echoed amongst many fans. i haven’t had a season ticket for 3 seasons for many of those reasons. To me it boils down to not getting value for money. Why should i give Dave Whelan my hard earned money when he gives nothing back to us. By saying that i mean by actually challenging even the bottom half of the Stoke’s and Blackburn’s of this world rather than just hoping to avoid relegation with crap signings and selling the best players all the time and announcing that he will actually do it as soon as he get’s the offer he wants. The club is a joke and is ran by amateurs. There is no way i will ever pay to watch a game again until im satisfied that my money is not wasted.
After last year’s game against Chelsea, I would drive back from Manchester very quickly.I have no idea what the score will be on Saturday, because I believe we have the makings of a good team despite the Blackpool debacle
Thats the point though piemon, Im not trying to shoot your post down in flames but we have had the makings of a good team for 5 years. Then the good ones all get sold.
Its a good shout but if i was an investor, I would have to be very rich to invest in a club like ours. Every other club with the exception of Blackpool would be tempting to put money in but i could see no return in Wigan. 100% agree though in the fact that stability will bring in the crowds. Problem is, In this league with Mr Whelan, We will never achieve it.
Curbishley. Has to be. Perfect for a club of our size and is extremely experienced and proven. We just need people who will instil confidence. Roberto is indeed a legend and a smashing chap but lets be honest, A trained chimp could realise that when something goes constantly wrong, then change it.

Yes i do. Thats my right as a fan. So why dont you fuck off and support someone else if you are so blind. You dont find it the least bit shaming that everyone is still laughing at us and our owner does not care. Even N’Zogbia is walking all over the manager. The club is a joke as a whole. Thats just the truth, nothing else.
Sorry Donnelly i cant agree one bit. I was on the wagon as were many thousands leading up to yesterday hoping that Martinez will come good, will have learned from the harsh lessons we got taught last season. However his arrogance in keeping with the same system and woeful tactical decisions leads me to denounce that sentiment has no place here any more. We have to get rid for the good of our club. We are falling apart and its only the first game. I would love to come on here on saturday evening and praise a gallant performance against Chelsea but i know it will be more of these threads. Im still reeling yet from yesterday and still cant quite believe it happened. There are problems in our club that run further than team selection but god knows what and its having a major effect on the teams performance. if you picked a 2-2-2-2-2 formation you would still not fall apart like our boys seem to do every season. Something has to change quickly and drastically before our season is over before it begins. We will more likely be bottom for the end of the month and after the Spurs game i reckon he will be gone. Hutchings didnt last long really. Whelan must be seething
