The whole incident was the footballing equivalent of the Keystone Cops.
Just watched their second goal again. I’ve seen those not given before! Bloody eagle-eyed linesman!
Nah, he’s not above criticism. He was predictable and the odd time he beat his man, he ran it out.
I cant believe that summary, did you actually watch that game? How many times did Callum beat that defender, knock a decent ball in only to find nobody at the end of it. Forshaw was millimeters away from tapping in on one occasion.
That Sheff Wednesday left full back had a mare and looked in tears at one point.Yes Macca ran it out on two occasions, but provided some really good balls into the box, skinning the poor little left back time and time again, shaving the post in the last 10 mins.
We were the better team today, we looked quality but once again lacked that killer instinct. If we were shyte I’d hold my hands up but we are not. Give Malky a few more weeks and I’m sure we will turn the corner. Nobody wants this league, just look at the table, OK we are second bottom, but we are not out of reach from the mid table teams.
I did watch it but obviously not with the same rose-coloured specs that you did ;) I reckon we’re at the bottom of the barrel now and I agree that there’s a good chance we’ll be a few places higher in the weeks to come.
Someone else that ‘didn’t’ watch the game was the guy that put Boyce in the Sunday Mirror Championship team of the day
A genuine rumour I heard in Applejacks Chorley.
Apparently after the Whelan fiasco at Latics they are demonstrating equality and diversity and are desperate for new car park attendants. They reckon he would do a great job of quickly moving cars along the flanks but they have doubts about moving the cars into the final area for the final parkers to motion into position.Very good ;) *doffs cap*

Four years ago, before my exile in Leyth, I had a house for sale in Swinley and had a call from the estate agent to make an appointment for a viewing for a Ms Nandy. I showed her and her partner around and during the chit chat I asked her what she did. She said she worked in London quite a lot and rented a place there but needed a place in the Wigan area too but without really saying exactly what she did. She’d been MP for Wigan for four months at that point and I’d actually voted for her. I hadn’t a clue who she was
Strange. There must be someone lined up
at 3 down he brought on defensive midfielder Kvist who, by his own admission, won’t get you goals and left Waghorn who can get you goals on the bench. Can somebody sort these things out for me?
I must admit I scratched my head at that one and I thought there’d be a certain irony in it if the axe had swung and it had been his final tactical change.
For what it’s worth, I too don’t understand why Waghorn isn’t getting a game. I’d have him just behind Fortune and four across midfield, currently McManaman, Maloney/Cowie*, Forshaw and McLean.
Easy this football manager malarkey ;)
*McCann if/when fit.
I don’t necessarily expect them to show their best. Just putting in a shift would do for now. A bit like they did against Derby.
I think that’s pretty good news. There are a few players that owe the manager and the club some gut busting performances. It’s not all down to the manager, you know.
Why can’t a nose be 12 inches long?
Because it wouldn’t be a nose. It’d be a foot.
I’m with crammy yick. It’s a clumsy at best, downright ugly term at worst that’s crept into punditry and commentary recently, used by people that also say ‘he’s went for the ball’. The only applicable place for unplayable in sport for me is in bat and ball sports where you play shots, particularly cricket where a delivery can be unplayable.
I don’t see how a person can be unplayable
Hey gruff still happy with tonight’s game?
Some positives I suppose….. But can’t think of anyI thought Barnett was woeful and if Roger Espinoza is still the answer then somebody seriously needs to tell me what the question is. Utter garbage last night that lad.
Can we give a dishonourable mention to Huws and Kiernan in this department too please? Having a go at the manager about his tactics and team selection is fair enough but when you have players turning in individual woeful performances as bad as these guys did last night, you have to sympathise just a little with him.
And how can we forget that Young Boys Bern played at the Wankdorf Stadium.Rather worryingly, when you key in ‘Young Boys’ in Google you get no results as you key the characters, just an eerie blankness. I hope the cops aren’t on their way
I picked up an item quite recently that I’d won off eBay that was just off Twatling Road, Lickey in Birmingham
