I would have thought so….there were no adverts for Vandanel in the ground on Saturday, they’re not listed as sponsors/partners on the website and at half time there weren’t mentioned or advertised on the scoreboard as “technical suppliers” which is normally the case.

Spot on Trent….thought we were awful first half (as they were). Second half was much better though, Moses, McCarthy and Diame were all excellent, pushing us forward and creating problems for their defence.

You can’t compare taking your own food/drink into a cinema to taking cans into a football ground. Surely, taking cans into a ground is illegal, in the same way as you are not supposed to take glass bottles.

Trulatic is spot on…you know the rules and can’t moan for being told to obey them, idiot parents.

The fact that we will always be a selling club in this league is something fans will have to get used to. However, what we should always do is strive to get the best price and re-invest as much as possible in the squad while ensuring that the debt is at a managable level.

Bickymon talks about the crowd the other night and our average dropping from the first year. Of course, some of those gates in the first year were down to the novelty factor, but even last season when we were going for Europe, some of our gates were only around the 18-20k mark with decent away followings and the WHU game when we were 7th at the time (I think) only had 12,500 Wiganers on.

If the majority of Wigan wont get off its couch to watch the best team we’ve ever had at our prices, then what is Whelan supposed to do?

I’d disagree that he does score enough goals for a side like Villa, and I’d take him in a swap for Hugo if the wages were similar, but I would imagine if Villa are going to offer £15m for Hugo, if someone wanted Agbonlahor, they would be qouted somewhere around £20m. Then there’s his wages, bound to be very high compared to the vast majority of our squad I would have thought.

Hugo’s shown promise for us in spells, but for £15m then I’ll take him to Villa myself….that would a ridiculous amount of money. As for us sigining Agbonlahor, no thanks, plenty of pace but doesn’t score enough goals for me in terms of what he would cost in fees/wages.

Yes, Hutchings, but although it backfired, at least Hutchings had been at the club for a number of years and had 2 years experience of working with Premier League players…..think we all saw when Bruce took over that it was simply a case of Hutchings having the players, but for whatever reason he couldn’t get them to play.

Regardless of what happens on Saturday, them giving Laws the job seems an incredible decision….I dont think anyone could believe it, one of the most bizzare managerial appointments I;ve known. Other than cost, what possessed them to give it Laws I’ve no idea.

I think Brown….just. I think he’s an absolute clown, but he must have learned a huge amount from the last 2 seasons whereas Dowie’s done virtually nothing anywhere

In fairness, apart from that Westwood fella, the Pompey fans seem a decent lot. That said, there’s a lot of rubbish talked about their fans, yes the ones that go give them superb support, but their gates are incredibly poor for a club thats in a 2 club county with no Premier League club for at least 50 miles. I’m sure that they hardly filled FP even after they won the cup, yet with their catchment area, they should have been locking thousands out every week.

It was poor goalkeeping by Kirkland last night for their winner, but at least having come for the cross he did get something on it, unlike his blunders at Stoke and Liverpool. That said, either him or somebody should have got something on Milner’s shot to possibly take it wide of the post.

We have to win on Saturday, simple as….we can’t be getting beaten at home by utter shoite like Burnley, they are simply woeful. That said, providing we score the first goal, I think we’ll win comfortably, if we concede first it will become very tricky as it will give them something to hold on to.

“the 0-0 at Villa last season could easily have been an 8-0 defeat”….suppose that was Bobby’s fault as well??

As for last night, yes there were faults with the performance, but overall we were unlucky to lose against a decent Villa side who had the 2 outstanding players on the park in Milner and Collins.

Surely not….we should have sacked him after Crewe eh Loudmouth. Can you imagine life for LMB under Kenny Swain, he’d have wanted him shot.

Don’t know if anyone saw the Valladolid v Real Madrid game last night. They’re bottom of the league and the prices ranged from 60 – 125 Euros…..and some clowns on here think Whelan’s ripping us off :o
