More polarising than brexit this one! I just wonder…..
Remain and yes for the women’s World CupI enjoyed the match tonight by the way
I read an article on the equal play in tennis subject, it was interesting. If u just look at the time spent on court it is clear that the men play more, but if u take the training, coaching, travel, which is all part of being a pro then the differential is less. My view? U should get what you are worth, if u do the same job in a bank there is no justification for unequal pay, when it comes to tv revenue for sport it is as different thing all together. The tricky one with tennis is that they sell the rights to Wimbledon as an overall package and don’t sell the women and men separately so that becomes tricky to prove the differential.
I hope u r blessed with a daughter horc
Thanks grumpy, the soccer dome started charging at the end of the season which spoiled my usual spot!

LiddellI don’t object to muttys posts they are normally reasonable as is his last post. Egg if u google population of Sunderland (277k) and Wigan u may be surprised to find Wigan borough has 300k+!!!
I thought Sunderland would walk it, I think it puts our instant returns in perspective so we should take it as a good achievement by us.U r right egg, and funnily enough when we don’t spend any money folk moan! Money is nearly always behind success in football, we were relatively rich coming up through the divisions and when we won the league one titles in the last few years we had one of the biggest budgets.
My top five are the fa cup win obviously, the Brentford 3-1 with David Lowe etc, the league cup, the millwalll one…
You do them a disservice lads, embrace the summer football tournament and enjoy it, if you proclaim to watch non league standard the the women’s football is at least as good as that. I will enjoy it anyway,
I like watching match of the day, I also enjoy the champions league, England games and the odd local league. I am also looking forward to the women’s World Cup this summer.
Interesting story on the bbc about food banks being set up for the staff who haven’t been paid and Preston making donations to it.
Pretty miserable for these people affectedbet you could name a pretty good latics team made up of historical foreign players….. most of our best were probably not english
