You all need to get a grip. ‘Oh it’s all Martinez’s fault’ Blah blah blah.. Idiots. :)
Well who is to blame??? Bob’s team, Bob’s tactics, Bob’s players. Seems to me he may be playing some part in our absolutely shoite last two seasons.
What do you think James?
so moses goal against west brom was not an example of quick counter attacking?
Wow! 1 goal all season, stop it, you’re killing me
is there anything you wont pick at, Rooney 2 goals all season, 2 pens, how crap is he.
I hope we stuff West Ham today just to stop the coooonts coming on
Surprise the team let you and me down. The coooonts as you call us are real fans who open our eyes and can see that Bob’s tactics and formation just don’t work. When will you wake up
That god he got sent off, so overated. Cant tackle cant beat a man and is awful in the air at 50/50 balls. He misses so many chances. Get Di Santo up front, more pace stronger and better in the air, also grafts alot more, basically a better player!!!!! That’s it. Yeah i know Di Santo should have scored last week but Rod should have scored 2 against Bolton cost us 2 points crap!!!!!May not be the best player in the world but he is the only one in our team who has a goal in him. Di Santo couldn’t score in a brothel with a winning lottery ticket hanging out of his shorts so who would you pick again????
R.I.P you will never be forgotten.
I think you will find that most on here only take umbridge at you because your attacks on Wigan Athletic’s manager are so persistant and scathing (and I must admit very repetitive).People watch Wigan for different reasons, not all watch it for results or performance, to be fair if you want to see a team winning 20-30 games a season in the top flight Latics wouldn’t be your first choice.
Some watch because they like the experience of the live football game and thier chosen team is WAFC.
Some go because their mates do and they do it becasue of the company and it is just part of their lives now.
Some will always go to have something to moan about (we call them West Standers ;) )
But whatever your reason is, and I go back to a point that has been made on another thread, there is no need for a full on lambasting of any WAFC staff. Points can be put across quite well without it, whether you are a JCL or an old timer.
LMB, you don’t do yourself any favours because when we do perform well, or get a decent result, you don’t acknowledge it. All that a couple of the lets say ‘negative’ posters do is dwell on the bad points, the losses or the ‘bad’ decisions (always the gaffer, never the players).
If you actually gave credit to the team (and that means the manager as well) every now and then your other comments would be taken as debate worthy.
You are in a position now, because of the relentless attacks on Roberto, I think you can’t even bring yourself to praise him any more.
Anyway, you have a PM.
Your right Jay T we should give praise were praise is due and when we win we should congratulate the manager.
BUT is this not the manager who last season took all the credit for our wins against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool but yet blamed Steve Bruce for the Spurs game and most of our other defeats????
Agree completely, we will come good I know it. With a couple of decisions and a bit of luck as Martinez has said we could easily be in the top half of the league.I actually think we will get something from tonights game and against West Brom and this time next week all the negative comments will vanish.
The way we play it will not come good we do not have enough attacking options and we are predictable. We play all our football in our own half not were we can hurt the oposition and this is backed up by all the goals we score.
We IMO have players to change the formation and make it more attack minded but Bob is to stubborn. I fear the worst this season as I can’t see us scoring enough goals to stay up.
Indeed.
How much longer can this go on?
How much longer can a provincial town with 55 million of debts and losses, and barely 10000 home fans continue to sustain a place in the English Premier League. Especially when a fair chunk of the spoilt brats who claim to support the team amongst that 10000 are spitting their dummy out at the manager for not beating a team who we’ve never beaten at their ground, except for a lancashire cup tie in the mid eighties ( & even that was on penalties IIRC ) Even when they would have beaten that team were it not for some shocking refereeing & linesmen’s decisions. Grow up and give yourselves a shake you big mary ellens, and get behind the team, the way some of you behave its like you want us to get relegated :roll:Scholes did you actually read my post or just the title???? The question I asked was how when going to a piss poor team like Blackburn Bob can justify playing 7 defensive minded players. IMO we don’t even give ourselves a chance of winning the game with that team.
I believe with the players we have there is a decent side trying to get out but I’m afraid Bob wont find it as long as I’ve got a hole in my kaiber.
So thats pretty much an 7-2-1 formation. :shock:Well at least with Bob’s super defensive line up we wont concede a goal then
I went yesterday and he scored an absolute cracker but he did not have the great game I been reading about on the other post. He did contribute which he has not done very often but we were playing a poor side who gave us room to play.
Yes Wolves were a poor side, and down to ten men, but to say they gave us room to play is two veg.
They had everyone behind the ball at all times, hence their goal attempts (2)and they closed us down quickly.
The difference I noticed on Saturday was we actually made space for ourselves with good movement up front (di Santo), and clever midfield play by Gomez finding his passes and McCarthy running at the defence.
The first half was a non event, but I was very happy with the second half performance.
Sorry Horc but watching us is like pulling teeth!!! we are so slow and predictable in everything we do. We don’t look like scoring goals and it certainly isn’t exciting is it???
This guy is the perfect example to what in the modern day is called a defensive midfielder but actually should be called a player whose rubbish at footy but can run around and tackle a lot. There are some arguements that every team needs one but for me the problem is at home especially he gets more possession than anyone else, unfortunately he grinds the flow of our play to a halt more than the opposition.
What flow of play??? we are so slow and predictable it’s just not true.
There is a team in there trying to get out. The last 2 games showed that it was starting to happen but we seemed to have taken a step back. I am still 100% behind RM and i think he will come good (though i should say i’m a lone voice in my houshold).Yesterday Citeh did nothing to impress, they only won becuase we cocked up. You can see Citeh have the potential and it will happen. The same can be seen of latics if you look below the surface.
Chin up – he’ll get there!
No he wont he is so pig headed and stubborn he plays one way and every man and his dog can see it’s not working. He needs to go because I believe we have a half decent side struggling to get out but we will never realise that potential under this clown.
FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE FANS!!!!Thats all your are great draw against Sunderland who are an up and coming team well done lads lets get behind them we are above both Everton and Liverpool so shut up hey or right that’s it gonna knock some heads together me soon and i have got back up with James and Bob me thinks.
Did you go today???
If so you have to admit that was shoite so don’t go on about fickle fans. Those who are still going and there aren’t many deserve a medal for putting up with the dross Bob’s serving up.
Thomas was garbage………he gives the ball away far to cheaply and his tackling was none existent…………..Get Watson in!
What game did you watch????
I thought he was close to the best player on the park and was certainly the pick of our 3 centre midfielders.
Kirkland. He’s one of the main reasons we’re still in the Prem.
I have always been a Kirkland fan but if he continues to play like he has in our first 2 games he will be the main reason we get relegated. He has been absolute shoite and Al-Habsi has to play
Should be a good night – local derby with a big crowd.
