darren was always one of those people (& his dad) you used to see every week at springfield park without fail.
there was also a bloke who wore a suit week in week out. he stood & lied down in the pouring rain when everybody else ran into the popular side. for some reason it will always be one of my springy memories.

andy liddellas a kid most of my mates supported the rugby & if they did support a football team, it was usually either (yawn, yawn) liverpool or man utd. in fact, i was probably THE only latics supporter in the whole of my school. i used to get loads of stick & that was just from the teachers until we merged with st johns in about 1981 & one of their teachers was a latics fan & all we ever did was talk latics.
the other problem is the wigan born people who are born to scousers who emigrated to wigan in the 70’s & 80’s. nturally they will follow in their parents footsteps & support either liverpool or everton. hence the reason why i’m doing my damdest to get my little un to follow latics rather than the 2 scouse teams.agree with truelatic, as i’ve always said the same thing myself. as a kid i attended st mary’s in standishgate & was THE only latics fan in the whole of the school, whilst everyone else supported the rugby along with either man utd or liverpool. things did get better at high school though.
oh well! here’s me hoping my original post would start a reasonable discussion amongst adults. with all due respect its become the griff .v. loudmouthblue show. your both on the wrong site. you should both be on jeremy kyle. :lol:

some interesting points there lowey. personally, i think we’ve created a lot more scoring opportunities than what we did last season – maybe because the players are becoming more used to the system. however, i do believe that what we lack is a finisher, which in time, i think boselli will be. but in football it is about NOW as opposed to the future – when it may be too late!!
