Speechless!!

Screw the Sky punndits……they don’t watch our dung every game. He’s not ambitious enough as proven time, time again. Think Roy has selective recall,Derby,Luton,Bristol, etc, etc……I repeat….lowest scorers for a reason….giving up points last 10 mins at a scandalous rate…..so Dunks was wrong call. Right call if your in top six and happy with a point ,and getting mullered. We were pretty comfortable we need to go for 3 but I’m afraid some of you still in denial……we are impotent in front of goal and nothing I saw Monday changed my mind…..Cook out !!@So had we have gone for it & lost the game, what would have your response been then? IMO, this was one of those cases of a point gained.
The only reason it’s not working for Moore is down to Cooks insistence of lobbing the ball to him, in the hope he can knock it onto a runner. It’s ironic how performances have improved since this tactic has ceased.
Someone else has said this. But Moore up top with Windass behind & Lowe & Pilks on the wings.
Cook…”small budget”. Taking the piss? 10 million and bottom of the league? Still sticking up for him..”trying his best”?
Well it ain’t fucking good enough.
In fairness Vat, £10 million ain’t nowhere near what other clubs are spending/have spent. You sound as if £10 million in this day & age is a lot. Infact, you sound like Dr Evil in Austin Powers when he held his hostages to a ransom of $1 million & they p155ed their sides laughing.
We are playing now like how we finished last season and teams find it very hard to beat us, long may it continue UTFT.Long may it continue indeed. We just need to learn to score one more goal than the opposition, then we’ll be fine.
Was I the only one hiding behind the couch with 10 to play? No! Me & all Egg. I was in work so had to rely on my live score feed keeping me up to date. But even I was hiding for those last 10 plus injury time.
You obviously weren’t at the DW for the Reading game thenSadly not. I was in work.
So I take it there was chanting at that game?
Seems strange that they would spend money developing the player facilities within the stadium, improve the academy and buy the soccerdome to ensure the academy moves up a level and play better opposition and have better facilities if they don’t actually care.
Fair point lad but at the end of the day all supporters see and want is for the first team to compete and be as successful as possible. You cannot blame fans for scepticism when they are appearing to do Jack shit to halt our alarming slide. Cook cannot take us any further that’s blindingly obvious so must be replaced. At board level it’s a total waste of time Royle being at the club coz his lad is if we cannot use his vast knowledge and experience. Royle and Reid are not working for nowt so what’s the point of them earning a wedge here. I’m beginning to be seriously worried about my club egg something I thought would never happen a short time ago.
Thats it, mate. Thats it. Big worries.
The improvements to the stadium and academy may be conditions that were written into the sale.
The lack of decision with our current predicament is quite unbelievable. Never seen a club let something drag out quite like this. They wouldnt have got away with it at a bigger club with 20-30,000 home support…your West Brom, Birmingham, Sheff Wed type clubs. Theyve got away with it so long at Wigan, because when it boils down to it, 9000 home supporters have either been apathetic, or just silent about the whole thing. Theyve used that to their advantage. A bit different to having 20,000 fans chanting and holding demonstrations.
But it shouldnt have got this far anyway.
It perhaps shouldn’t have. But the issue I have, is people are very quick to moan on here about the current direction the club is heading. However, whenever i attend a game, I never hear anyone chanting “Cook Out” or “Sack the Board.” Unlike the old Springfield “Kenyon Out” days.
Now I have no idea exactly how many members we have on here, but are we simply in the minority of folk wanting Cook out? Typing a few words on here wont make a jot of a difference. However, if people feel the club needs to make a change in management, then voice your opinion at the game. Before anyone accuses me of enticing crowd trouble – that is simply not the case. But football fans all around the world voice their opinion at the game if they are unhappy, not on an internet forum. The latter is to just moan & groan.
Having a moan on here about the current state of the club will go completely unnoticed by those at the helm. Voice your opinion at the stadium however & folks might just listen. But as I say, whenever I attend a game, everyone appears quite content.
Barnsley show true get out of it grit at Millwall………us….we’d have conceded 2 more in stoppage time………we are a f&&&&&&& embarrassing mess.
I am actually dreading Mondays game. Been thinking of making the effort to go the Boxing Day game as no rush afterwards, no work or anything.
But, if we capitulate at Ewood, and theres a chance of it getting dark and moody at the Derby game, I think I will give it a miss, and let the kids stay on their Xbox’s as well. Cant be doing with letting the mood and stress of it all impinge on our Boxing day. Sod that, I’d rather not.
But it will get dark & moody. It usually goes dark by 3.30pm. Although we have now had the winter solstice, so the evenings will start to get lighter.
Did you stay away at some point during the Swain, Coyle, Rosler, McKay & Joyce periods as well?
Will we still be rock bottom at Christmas? Traditionally teams who are bottom at Christmas…………
You know the rest.
We have dropped 20 points from winning positions. Had we not have dropped those points, we’d be 3rd in the league from all accounts.
Have you offset your figure with the 10 points we have gained from losing/drawing positions?
I simply read it somewhere – that’s all!! :)
The sickening thing and most worrying is that compared to most seasons this isn’t a vintage championship. As many on here have pointed out who have seen most games there isn’t a lot to be frightened of. Yet we are not competing in a poor championship so that’s what it is. We are rudderless at present and its killing the club. I always feared we would regret the day the Whelan family said goodbye coz at least they tried to fix things even if sometimes it didn’t work (Joyce). We need a gaffer at the very top but it’s taking too long to sort out to save us this season. I can see us doing a Pompey if this goes on for much longer. Luckily we will always be Wigan Athletic the biggest little club in the world. COYL
Could go down same route as Bolton.
And that is the reason why I for one never scoffed at their “demise.” My biggest fear is that the same could very easily happen to ourselves.
Performances have improved the last 2 games because we have played football & not hoofball. I hope when Moore returns to the side, Cook continues to adopt his footballing philosophy. I think we can turn the corner if he continues with this approach. Even Stevie Wonder could see that hoofball wasnt working. If Cook reverts back to hoofball however, then I do fear we are doomed.
