for someone who isn’t very bright 33years you have had a eureka moment -its the perfect solution all round -a team top of the league playing decent stuff and actually scoring goals
why dont we swap the coaching staff watson/barrow for the tosser running the first 11
Would that be the same G Barrow that got sacked by Whelan after a humiliating 6-2 home defeat against Mansfield?
I’m with Swindon on this, but I’m not telling you why I believe it
Is he coming as player-manager?
Yawn……
Irony can be such a difficult concept.A story in the tabloid press directly from Whelan’s own lips? It must be true.
I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Stories about him selling the club have been circulating for a number of years now and if the right offer came along why shouldn’t he.

I once remember Ian Gillibrand smashing one in from around the half-way line. Spectacular goal in many ways because, he only scored a handful in his entire career, he played centre-half but hardly ever went up for corners and set-pieces (he was tiny for a centre-half), and it was a stunning strike, so much so that it has stayed in my memory for 40 years.
Isherwood.
I sit in the West Stand directly opposite where that incident happenend.
You must sit very close to us then, Sammy. In which case, it must be your turn to get the ale in at half time.
I sit just in front of the press box more or less looking down on the away team bench. Funny how it’s aways my turn to get the ale in….!Tell me some positives then. Because I cant think of many.Given who we are and the limited resources at our disposal, apart from the two opening games I think the results so far have been positive and we have a points total in accordance with what MOST supporters would have expected at this stage.
Said it was harsh when I saw it live. Revised my opinion considerably after seeing it on TV. ShockerI sit in the West Stand directly opposite where that incident happenend. It’s interesting to note that at the time both myself and everyone sat around me thought the straight red was a bit harsh.
It was only afterwards when I saw it on TV from a different angle did I think the challenge deserved a red card.
Who’d be a ref, eh?It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a sub, subbed before they actually get on the field.
Mr Bosselli was not a happy chappie as he donned his trackie back on, shaking his head constantly to the final whistle and not even raising a smile when we scored. At the final whistle he was first down the tunnel, face like he’d seen his own a_rse. :oHe’s no doubt justifiably miffed at seeing Rodallega in the starting line up and never being subbed.
Gomez’s weakness is that he is too slow on the ball and consequently gets caught in possession too much. His strength is that he has the capability of playing that killer pass which the rest of our mid-field players do not. He’s also by far and away the best at free kicks.
Now this is not a ‘dig’ at Martinez…..………….however, can anyone please explain to me why he had Bosseli warming up for 10 minutes, stripped off for 10 minutes (with the usual “look at the pretty pictures in my book – next week I get to colour them in” briefing), stood on the touchline waiting to come on…then, next he was back on his arris, trackie on. Thought he was coming on for Rodders.
Did I miss something?
Probably because we scored.
i always thought football was supposed to entertain –Ah well, if you start off with that premise you’re bound to be disappointed.
George Harrison sang, “All Things Must Pass”.
He’d obviously never watched Hendry Thomas play!Four; allowing Figueroa to injure Tom Cleverley in training. You’re not suggesting Figueroa actually trains with the rest of the team, are you?
