We have to stay with the Spanish bid and my gut feeling is they seem to have good ethics and have already stumped up the cash already.
Pressure needs to be applied to the EFL to get this done especially as we need players in and also could be welcoming crowds back in a matter of weeks.
      Worrying times

Far too late in the day to be messing about with other bids , they need to get the Spanish deal over the line surely.
I am now very very concerned about the future of the club and long since past caring about the dreadful results on the pitch.

Absolutely the worst performance by any Wigan athletic team in the last 30 years and that’s saying something during Kenny Swains era !!
A lack of interest and total lack of respect for the game , casual fist pumps after our goals , complete arrogance.
Chorley had a plumpish bearded guy in their midfield who had the Sunday league look written all over him however he had so much room it made him look like Zidane and that’s says all for me.
The sooner the better the Spaniard is in charge and we get some structure the better!
Well done to Chorley btw , very well played.

I am sorry to say this but I couldn’t care less about it I just want the takeover to complete.
At least then we can look forward to a future of sorts but at the moment the whole thing feels like limbo land.
The manager in fact the whole set up has an uncertain feel and until
The takeover occurs it just feels like one long close season.
I always hope we win and fully expect to beat Chorley But it’s very different when as a supporter you play no part.

Always interested in arguably the best ever player to don a Latics shirt in our entire history.
Don’t care a fig if he was on loan or not he still developed playing for the club and will watch his career like many other supporters.
Merge Duncan Edwards , Franz Beckenbaur and Zedane and that’s how good I think he will become.
Proud he once donned our great shirt

A few high profile TV interviewers could learn a lesson or two from him.

Maybe he has plans to maximise income from the ground once this pandemic is over.
I have always felt it was underused as an entertainment facility bar in the early years when the ground hosted minor international tournaments in both rugby and football.
This sort of thing ,Concerts and maybe an increase in leisure and corporate facilities might allow the ground to bring in much needed additional income.
Given what has taken place recently I do share your trepidation cup winners and really hope this is a good acquisition however changes to the set up and marketing of One of the main assetS I.e the ground are needed to gain the additional revenue that I don’t think has been realised by previous owners.
Can only hope they bring in supporters also because that is most cetainly the most valuable asset of all!

Agree a few signings might just propel this bunch into the top six at least.
The goal last Saturday has to be the softest I have ever seen at any level and proof that making a mark even this season could be a reality.
A couple of prudent signings would
Be a good move and good boost to the remaining lads in the squad.
The youth policy has to be number one priority going forward especially given the position geographically of Wigan.
The big four clubs in the northwest are now scouting for the best young talent globally and we should continue to keep this lucrative side line going.

Once the sale is completed and finalised and sighs of relief are belted out then the fund if possible could be put to really good use if it is allowable.
One idea could be to buy the old Sharpeys chippy ( assuming it is being sold separately) and turn it into a suporters club facility , something we havent had since the SP days really bar token use of DW stadium bars.
The rest of the money could be put to good use turning it into a proper facility that would be able to hold community projects etc using the facilities and would also be a fitting tribute to the efforts of all the supporters and ex players who helped contribute.

All those times I walked Up first avenue or over that knackered bridge, drenched wet through and freezing after a defeat and saying I would never go again.
Add to that having stones and even punches aimed at you by obnoxious away supporters but
fook me would I return to that in a heartbeat.
Think may get even worse now and I am now preparing for the very worst , hope almost gone after the guts have been ripped out of the club by this bunch.
Sorry to be defeatist , I am sure I am not alone , fat lady clearing her throat sadly

No buyer by end of next month and we are done for in my view.

Who cares who gets in or who doesnt ?
Biggest fear is that we have no club to support full stop after listening to some of the news reports today.
Who gets in when crowds return and whether people return after this enforced break is irrelevant when the club is virtually on its knees and ripped apart.
Reports across football suggest there are many more ‘Wigan Athletics’ and ‘Macclesfields’ on the brink at the moment.
