Need Apollo creed to turn up and scream at Cooky and his tribe when they sat usual diatribes after another late defeat.

A good Christmas and things might look loads better,we will be underdogs in every fixture now which might just suit us .Kipre has one of his best games today but Lee Evans in midfield has been a revelation with his passing range.

Evans , Robinson, Byrne and Kipre stand outs for me and some good forward play from josh Windass.
No blame for their goal just a quality finish.A better performance but the same old faults and more points dropped from a winning position.
The goal they scored highlighted all that is wrong at the moment and it will take a supreme optimist to convince me even after that last night that a corner has been turned.
Need to start getting some wins under the belt as soon as possible.4 adrift now ,inferior goal difference and a significantly worse points tally than at the same stage last season.
No fight or belief left and they are qualities every other team in this division has in abundance .
I have always been a glass half full person with Latics in the past but can’t see anything but a routine win for West Brom tonight.

Been a Latics supporter for nearly 41 years and would put this bunch on par with Malkys Team a few years back.
Similar form but in reverse , couldn’t win at home but snatched a few wins away and lost many by small amounts.My opinion is that everything points to relegation from this division, the team just isn’t good enough at this level. Thinking about Mackay and Joyce appointments what is the point of wasting loads of money for what is looking like a lost cause ?
Why are league 1 standard players (in the main )suddenly going to become world beaters if we change the manager?
It didn’t happen in the previous seasons and I doubt it would change anything now without very serious financial investment in January.
I would sooner build the club up using a sound youth policy and if that means a return to league 1 then so be it.
If there is no money there it would be pointless to waste millions of pounds paying the staff off for what is in my view now an inevitability.
Sorry to be defeatist but we are where we are and the faults and blame lie on the pitch as the players we have are just not good enough at this level.

They have hardly any traits of what i believe a standard Wigan Athletic team should be.

Our spell in the top four WAS more fashionable and remarkable yes given the size of Latics to them and also as a club situated in the North West heartland of football compared toa club in a city.
The east midlands is hardly a hotbed is it??
they are longer term top four incumbents than we have ever been or were and also Premier league winners.
That said they are still not a name that trips off the tongue or fills you with excitement are they?

At least Deehan made good subs unlike some I could mention.Relegation form all day long and a downward curve since the late Derby defeat in October.
That game was the turning point for me and it highlighted all the faults in 90 minutes for me and was the shape of things to come. A late avoidable goal caused by defensive laxity and sheer lack of effort and belief.
All the faults have been more stark since that game in my opinion and it’s hard to see it changing now .Was hoping for a big home draw against one of the big guns.
Would possibly have fired up some of our half arsed players into some semblance of a performance beforehand I’m sure.
