Nuneaton, the problem I see with that is that there can’t be a “next season” unless this season has finished. A line has to drawn under this season one way or another. For example, if the “lockdown” we have continues then perhaps if it lasts until this time next year we could pick up where we left off. However, another problem – all those players out of contract in June – what do we do with them? If it goes until the summer, then I assume Liverpool and other clubs have players who are then out of contract after June – so how can we combine seasons if clubs have different squads available???

I have no idea, by the way, how this will pan out or what should be done. I’m simply looking at your proposal and picking holes in it – sorry about that!

If we win all ten we’ll be very close – not sure it will happen though (as much as I would like it to)!

I’m afraid he’s way to lightweight to be an out-and-out number nine at this level. If Rangers had better options than him, I certainly think the standard of the Championship is on a par with the Scottish Premiership – so he’s not good enough for me!

And a certain Mr Windass is quoted today as saying that the reason he left was that he didn’t see eye to eye with Paul Cook. I wonder if that conversation went something along the lines of Cook: “Josh, you’re not playing well enough and you’re not as good as you (and your dad) think you are!” Windass: “No you’re wrong, I am good” Cook: “Well see how good you are on loan at Sheff Wed, then we’ll talk again!”

I’m glad you’ve mentioned that MR B! I can’t help but think the same thing, that since Windass was offloaded the whole team’s performance has improved immensely! If that’s the case I hope he doesn’t come back – he’s not been setting Sheffield Wednesday alight as far as I can see…

                Didn’t really need O.G. tonight – 3 quality goals!

Tyldesley, I realised that when I read up on the law for throw-ins! Why on earth they changed it from “both feet outside the touchline” I’ll never know. Having said that and watched them again, his foot was clearly on the line for the second, but I am not convinced for the first!

BBC Sport report said “Boro turned the game on its head in the second half” – I beg to disagree it was that chap with the whistle (he can’t be called a referee because he had no idea what he was doing)!

I think it says a lot that in the last two games that he hasn’t been on the scene we seem to have found our team spirit again. Just my imagination? Let’s see after the next few games!

Cup Winners – I have to say that if it was all about money then good on the club for sticking to their guns. If Milan tried to change the deal at the last minute in their own favour and we didn’t like it then I’m glad we’ve told them to do one!

Much as I have great sympathy for the player, the club’s best interests should always come first. So if our board were not happy with Milan’s terms then we do not sell – simple as!

If Robinson is good enough, Milan will come back. But now he just needs to get his head down and show them what they are missing out on – which will be great for us (cos we’ll probably be able to slap another couple of million on his price tag if he does)!

I’m with you on this on Horc! Milan knew about the additional test/medicals – so why fly Robinson out there today knowing that the other medical stuff would take 72 hours???

If they didn’t think of that and they are Italian “giants” then it shows that bigger clubs than ours are badly managed – so why should we complain!!!

Now our club is putting a different spin on this saga with the headline: “Charlie Mulgrew recalled by Blackburn Rovers”.

Oh well, make of it what you will…

                              Interesting!

“Lancs live” have just posted an article that says: “Mulgrew’s return means his wages are now back on the books at Rovers, and as one of the club’s highest earners his presence could potentially jeopardise any pending transfer negotiations, such is the restrictive budget Tony Mowbray has at his disposal.”

So who knows what the reason is?

Even with those three up top I wouldn’t sacrifice the passing game. However, it would need to be a lot crispier and not as slow/laboured as it was on Saturday – and should definitely be used instead of lumping it forward to the big man. We need to get the passing game going, moving the ball out wide and getting it into the box, where we may be able to do some damage with a couple of forwards in there!

I agree with JR on this one. We can’t really say why he’s done this – but our club website is surprisingly quiet on this! Talk earlier this month was that us and Blackburn were speaking about the player – perhaps (as an alternative theory) they wanted money that we weren’t prepared to pay, and so between us and Mulgrew we’ve come up with this plan to “force their hand”!

                                  Who knows? I certainly don’t!
