At least we now have some positive news on this front – it appears Cardiff don’t want to pay our asking price of £4m – https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51112571
I see he can take penalties too – that means Windass won’t have to go near them again!
The whole management team showed their naivety today – you NEVER make a substitution when defending a corner or a free kick around your own box!
That is very basic stuff
I haven’t been one to have a go at the management, but you NEVER make a substitution when you are defending a corner or free kick in your own box! This is basic management stuff, and it seems when the players do nothing wrong, the management have to make a mess instead!
But bear in mind that the reason Robinson was caught up field was because Jacobs lost the ball when Robinson was looking for him to move it on! From memory, it was Robinson who turned back and tried to chase the Swansea player down while Jacobs did naff all after losing it. I haven’t really been a Jacobs-knocker, but he should not have been used on Saturday to break up a midfield three that were dominating – he should have been used to replace Massey (one non-contributor for another) or not at all! Massey also needs a rest – he offers nothing to the team at the moment – and we cannot play against any side in this league with 10 men!
Shows how we all look at the game differently – I think Williams and Morsy is a good combination and I like Williams for the way he breaks things up and tries to get us moving forward too! Sometimes I do think he needs to think about hoofing it away rather than trying to play out from the back as he did in the first half! However, he is growing into the side in my opinion!
… and David Unsworth has exactly how much Championship management experience? I hope we don’t go down that route since it could be another Warren Joyce all over again and set us back a good few years!
Oh…..and Naismith at C/H ,Christ…..Swap Neil for Cook anyone!???Last week the Preston fans were screaming for Neil’s head for his “rubbish” team selection which cost them the points at Millwall. So, I think I’ll give Cookie a chance to see if he has learned his lessons before I start thinking about swapping him!
Charlie Mulgrew???
Plus we’ve also given Lang a new deal!
Him and Gelhart looked quite good together against Burnley, I thought!
I don’t think that league rules allow the screens to be used in such a way!
So, another young right back from Chelsea?
Sounds too good to be true???
How about Nahki Wells from Burnley? He’s been there a while now and getting nowhere and wasn’t even involved yesterday! He has scored goals at this level before and might not have the wage demands of Hugill since he’d be coming from Burnley…
I sort of agree with that. When we brought Gelhart and Lang on the Burnley central defenders afternoon became a little tricky for them and they started to panic a little bit. Perhaps Cook needs to think about that, the shape at the start of the second half seemed like a 3-5-2, which easily became a 4-4-2 or even a 5-3-2 when Burnley exerted a little pressure. But having had a really comfortable first half against the lone threat of Garner, I thought they looked a little questionable against two young upstarts who were harrying them!
I also thought that for the brief spell that Cook used da Silva Lopes as a wing back he looked like he could be a handful too!
I received my season ticket in the post today! Only problem – I had a card from Royal Mail yesterday saying that the sender hadn’t paid enough postage so I had to stump up £2 to get the envelope. I had no idea what is was when I paid the £2 – however, turns out it was my season ticket!!!
Is this a money-saving ploy by the club to get us all to pay for our tickets to be delivered???
