Though it was great clearance from Figs I was sat left at side of goal at Putney end and it wasn’t going in but would have gone wide of post anyway. I know on TV it looked different but believe me it wouldn’t have gone in. Good performance yesterday. Maloneys commitment and workrate an example to all.
Bradford seem to be working wonders. They must have some squad (or be fitter than us?) to compete for Promotion in the 46 game Division 2, the Johnstones paint trophy, the FA cup and the league cup! It’s a wonder these lads can still stand up! It’s hard enough for our guys to play a game (on average) every 9-10 days over the year apparently. Outstanding effort.
At some point Dicko will be given a chance. Be interesting to see how he does. Macmanaman doesn’t look up to it to me when he has come on (too lightweight) and Miyachi is a loan player rather than our own. Be interesting to see how he does.
Why not Pollit? He’s never let us down and doesn’t even get a game in cup these days. He’s a year younger than Brad Friedel who is on bench for Spurs. Am sure at end of season we will be looking to push Nichols through to replace him. Ali has been one of our most consistent performers and you couldn’t fault him for any of the goals yesterday. In the grand scheme of things goalkeeper would be the last position I would be worried about.
Kone is by far our biggest goal threat up front and at least has a few shots. He is always involved in our best link up play and let’s be honest if he was prolific in front of goal he wouldn’t be with us!

Of course but he ain’t gonna be prolific like RVP which is why he is at Wigan so don’t be surprised if he misses a couple! Explain who you would play instead of him when he is on the bench?
So we would bench our biggest goal threat and leading goalscorer weeks before we lose him for 3 weeks? Are you serious? I mean Boselli and Macmanaman would be superb replacements! When either come on you forget they are even on the pitch. I ain’t a Di Santo fan and his scoring record is woeful in this country. However, I don’t see that we have any competition from the bench so the from two (unfortunately) pick themselves.

If you look on bbc live coverage it says ref got it wrong and he didnt have one in. Did it take him an hour to realise? Mind you. We had the ball four times while he was waiting and chose to play on!
Referee apparently forced Di Santo off as he thought he was wearing an earring (which he didn’t). Ridiculous. We desperately need a striker. Di Santo has zero goal threat and needs replacing. Some of his play outside the box is good but that’s not what we need. At least Kone threatens and looks dangerous.

A team 7th in the league (4 points from champions league place) who have won 4 on the bounce at home which includes beating the current leaders Man Utd were never going to be an easy proposition with all of our centre halves out. It may be disappointing but it’s hardly a surprise. As long as we are in touch come April we will be fine!
5 weeks ago we played Spurs and Bobby was a genius to some. Now he wants sacking. I wouldn’t waste your energy. It’s never gonna happen. At different stages of the season we will have good and bad runs. We have had a bit of bad luck and a couple of bad performances. Nothing to worry about. 3 centre halves out means most teams would struggle. You look at next 4 games and think we will get nowt but history tells us it never pans out that way with us. Keep the faith!
Beausejour 8 in last 30 games. Valencia in his last season with us 4 in 31. Moses 1 all of last season. Not bad for an overweight waste of space who can’t beat a man eh? ;)
