Brilliant save Al Habsi !!

      Break away goal previously conceded.

Been watching 20 mins and we ain’t created a chance yet.

thought we started first half pretty ok. Maloney came close, good save by cech.

Better than Paul Jewell but not as good as Steve Bruce

And before people get too worked up over this, it is hugely unscientific – just a bit of fun

Ah Garswood i was just reading this myself funny enough.
How do you know it was better than Paul Jewellio’s record
Because Paul Jewell is number 115

        It’s only this season
 Slight misinterpretation on my half there then. For some reason thought you were comparing managers of seasons gone?

I’d say it was pretty simple really. If you’re playing against a team you know you will be competing with at the end of the season then a game against them is usually ‘must win’ for the simple fact it means they get 0 points and you get 3. Yes there are another 36 games to go and you could lose and still survive, but at the start of the season when you plan your season you will mark that game as ‘must win’.

On the other side of the coin, Man Utd would see games against the lesser clubs as ‘must win’ otherwise they’ll fail to win the title. What they get off the sides around them is a bonus. If they were to drop points against the lesser sides, then their games against Man City and the like would become ‘must win’. IE – City will see their trip to OT as ‘must win’.

A very good reversal Egg.. I unfortunately work with a few mancs and they still say that at our place last season playing us was a “must win” game, but it wasn’t, and they said that we cost them the league :) faf

If you are playing the last game of the season and need to win to stay up, then surely there must have been a few previous games that were “must win”..

I would have him over any of our forwards !

Nah, He is one of those United players they get from time to time that get carried by the rest of the team. Butt, P Neville, Gibson, Sharpe, Carrick, Richardson, Bellion, Kleberson, Manucho, Djemba Djemba, Obertan. Put those type of player in any other side and they look extremely average and soon disappear.

Never rated Welbeck, and there is truth in you get picked for England depending on which club you play for.

Not sure about Carrick though, he is a good passer of the ball..
Carrick is class.
Class?! You’ve had too many cans_of_lager!! :woohoo:
Put down The Sun like Jimmy, Standy W and I and actually watch football and you’d see that Carrick is a class midfield. Do you think Ferguson picks in week-in and week-out for top bantz?! After five years he’s have given up on that joke if that was the case. Easily one of the Top 5 midfielders in the EPL.
Special Brew… why the fook is your text size so samll…it’s hard enough understanding you sometimes let alone trying to read it.
No critism from me about Carrick, as said he is good. I’d reserve the work class for the likes of Zidane etc..

Couldn’t really complain if he did leave. Didn’t he turn down bigger clubs for favour of us as he wanted to play games rather than sit on the bench?

Mind you, if he keeps giving the ball away like he did against Southampton then i can’t see too many bids coming in for him.

The government has passed a new bill in parliament. Now gay men looking for a partner are entitled to more money.
it’s called “Knobseekers Allowance”! just letting you know so you can backdate your claim.

I thought we played well but we were lucky in one sense to get a draw. How did Neymar miss that open net….. maybe we should be talking about this miss on another post (match fixing)

No doubt we will qualify, but then play sh! te in the finals as usual..

                        We won
Well spotted Salford, that should have read something along the lines of lucky not to draw

Mad really to think people can get nostalgia confused with reality.
We are now playing against prem players who are quicker & more skilful.
Devos en Jackson were good but as others say, they were not good enough for the prem.

The only difference is we then had a manager that played exciting footy and a team that went forward at every opportunity.
We now have a manager that does not share that same philosophy!

They were talking about this on Talksport the other morning and i’m sure Ronnie however you spell his second name said, him, Chris Evans & Pierce Morgan? had chipped in to send him to this drying out clinic in USA.

I don’t wish Gaza any harm at all, but he’s more fortunate than most alcoholics are with all the help en support he gets.

Our home record for conceding goals is over 2 a game on average ! Who said home is an advantage !

That is correct filmos, and we have already conceded the same amount of goals at home so far this season as we did for the whole of the last one. At this rate Bob is going to break his own record for goals against.. Although that said his scoring record at home is consistent and the previous two seasons have only been improved on in our debut season in the prem.

Not sure where this three at the back saying comes from. I’d swear i watch a 5-4-1 formation most weeks.
