Not scoring and now leaking goals by the bucket load with the form just getting worse both home and away.
Club struggling home and away? Oh great its wigan arhletic next and three easy points and a nice leg stretch!
The club has become a complete shambles in my view and sacking rosler now looks like the worst decision made at the club in many a year.
Bottom of the barrel to be reached when we hit league 2 !No, the worst decision was picking Rosler over McClaren!
Sorry fil. Not roslers fault. Whelan should have chosen mclaren over coyle. Had he not have gone for the cheaper option in the first place we might be where derby are now
We used to have a quality creative midfielder but he was forever booed & jeered by his own supporters.
Perhaps day 1 of survival should start next week now :-P
Beaten by such a superior side today & i for one wish them the best for the rest of the season. As for ourselves we have 17 games to.save our season, which TBH i just cant see us doing
My 1st match was as a 6 year old back in 1978 (hence the 1978 in my username) .V. Grimsby & we got tonked. I told my dad i wasn’t coming again, yet 37 years later, i’m still here. 4 years after making my bow i saw us get promoted & watched the highlights on kick-off with elton welsby interviewing larry lloyd. 3 years after i went to wembley for our freight trophy win.
After an eternity in division 3 (which became 2) i saw my first ever relegation in 1993. Then one day after coming home from wigan tech my dad asked me to buy a post – whose headline was “dave whelan buys latics”. How i chuckled when he promised premier league football in 10 years. But what i witnessed was a freight rover mark 2 win plus a heartbreaking play off final, in total 3 promotions, 7 more years of premier league football than what i first anticipated, seeing my team play in europe & another day at wembley for some tin pot trophy =-O back in 2013.
So the last 2 seasons haven’t been the best. So what!!! I’ll support them through good times & i’ll support them through the bad times.
A football team is for life – not just the premier league.Just heard that ramis has gone.
Work permitting i’ll still be in attendance. I’ve watched ’em for 37 years on their way up & i’ll watch ’em on the way back down if need be
No. He didn’t relegate us.& then pi55 off. Thats the difference.
Some of ny everton supporting mates are either bored &/or fed up with his negative style, tippy-tappy football, no plan ‘b’, always going on about having more possession etc etc.
I thought the first half was poor apart from our usual 0-10 min flurry! Obviously got a bollocking at halftime and the changes made a massive difference and we could have nicked it towards the end! It was good to see some guille back in the team during that 2nd half but I am still concerned about our lack of strikers!
And we could and should have lost it at the end too. Woeful defending by Barnett who fortunately redeemed himself by managing to get back on the goal line for that headed clearance.
Overall, second half especially, we were much better than of late but are poor at the back and desperately short of a decent centre-half.
I agree. Although getting three points would have helped our cause, the ‘fair play’ mode in me said a point was good enough after a hard worked second half and hopefully the team can now build on that and raise their confidence/game levels.
There were two goal line clearances and if the first had gone in then I shudder to think how we would have reacted. The heads would have been that low they’d have their noses in the grass.
So true. Could have started the old final nail syndrome. However sometimes you need a bit of luck to turn your season around, so hopefully its onwards & upwards.
Personally i have always felt let down by those players who left us at the end of our 1st season in the premier league . Big time charlies who thought they were bigger & better than what they actually were.
I share your sentiments Tez re: the out & out striker. I felt after the game that is the only thing missing at present. That & the need to.work on a weak defence.
I was also proud of the commitment shown. They looked like they cared out there to me. Perhaps the last few games have been more a case of loss of confidence rather than passion & commitment.I haven’t been to many games this season due to work, but i was very impressed with the battling performance shown by the team today ( & keeping the likes of rhodes quiet during the game) – shame about their goal. Not a lot carson could do about it, however, their scorer could & should have been closed down earlier.
I have also read recently on other threads about players not caring. As i said earlier i haven’t been to many games but today, i couldn’t see any player not giving a toss. It was a good battling performance. MOM for me kvist, followed by mc cann. Just my opinion of course.
Though i thought mclean & waghorn played well together & a well taken goal, we still need a “prolific” striker. But overall, i was very impressed with the performance.Leicester City have reportedly agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic for the transfer of Shaun Maloney. The 31-year-old is said to have been courted by several Premier League clubs, but Leicester have won the race and will secure him on a long-term deal.
The Foxes will pay in excess of £1m to land the Scot from the Latics, according to Goal.com.
I’ve always liked maloney TBH -:shame that he will be back in the championship come may
No thankyou, onwards and upwards , never go backwardsOn the other hand – never say never again.
