The Bolton response is a cracker however in some respects I was pleased for them yesterday as not all of their supporters are bell ends.
Premier league football is so predictable nowadays you can virtually predict the top seven and Stoke just tread water and hit 40 points then pack up.
At least we tried to entertain and our stay in there with all the heroic escapes gave us a slightly bigger profile than the tread water teams like west brom and Stoke.I was more riled by the arrogance of te caller and his audacity to consider Stoke city a big club that should always be in the top flight.
They have won only one trophy in their history and a Mickey Mouse one at that.
we have a bigger history in the cup
Stakes that they haveNot before time blunderland get what has been on the cards for five seasons.
Nob end , noblot or Blackburn could be destinations for him although he is probably worth a couple of million now .
In my opinion it was a dreadful performance from start to finish and totally unacceptable for any Wigan athletic team ,no fight,no guts, embarrassing and a disgrace to the shirt ( burn,Powell and Perkins excluded) of our great club!
Anyone thinking anything else has no right to be working in professional football.I have seen some very bad Latics teams in
My time but chuff me this lot takes the mantle as by far the worst team since the bad old days of Kenny swain and barrows first stint in 1994-95.
No energy or intensity from the majority and a complete acceptance of their fate from
The moment the first whistle went.
Burn and Perkins and Powell aside I wouldnt bloody well pay them this week I really wouldn’t.
You can slag the Kenny swain teams and what have you but at least they tried which was something I didn’t see very much of today.
The party is well and truly over now and we are left with a carcus of a football club that once graced the premier league .
There is no more room for error anymore a big management appointment iis needed and one with his own backroom team and a clear plan of where this club is going.
An absolute disgrace of a season and probably one of the most disappointing that I can ever remember.
Questions also need to be raised about the ridiculous decisions Being made at senior level in
My viewRosler still had the supporters in his pocket and they chanted his name at Bolton the week before he was sacked!!!
He could well be a championship manager with fleetwood next season because that horrible shower from up yonder are making a bit of a balls of it all now.
I’d love to see him do that because he has had some rough times in his life and has been a nearly man most of his career.
If he gets fleet wood promoted his stock will rise very highly but if he doesn’t I wouldn’t be surprised to see a return for him.
If h did return he would be very welcome in
My view and to be honest he gave us some good times in his short spell.none of the other candidates come close
He would be my choice , very very underratedAfter the second goal went in from Barnsley I have to concede I followed the little possee I sit with and decided the boozer was a far better place than witnessing any more pain.
Never in a million years did I think that would happen but sums up the season so far but pleased they did it but sort of gutted I missed it.
A good win and something to cheer about but still too little too lateA supporter should get it From
the east stand was so incensed at a bit of poor play by Powell that he gave him a tirade of abuse that Powell reacted to with a few gestures.
Fast forward a few minutes and an angry and fired up Powell went on to win a dangerous free kick and then hit one of the best free kicks I have seen down there for a long while. He showed passion and heart and it makes you wonder whether it was a turning point for him. .
Would he have done all that without that spat with the supporter ?An entertaining game with some good football and awful clangers in equal measure from both teams.
Easily the two worst clubs on show today and we are off to league 1 but a win is a win and life feels a bit better tonight
Up the ticsFrom what I saw of Rotherham last Saturday in just the highlights footage I’m fully expecting them to drive the final relegation nail in on Saturday.
Let’s be honest the team is just not good Enough for this division which is so frustrating when you look at what Barnsley and Burton have done.
I keep reading deluded posts saying we can still do it but i gave up the ghost after the Bristol city game and with no strikers ( ??????) it’s all over end of .
The rot set in last summer with poor planning and investment and then the sale of wildschut and again no proper investment has left is in a real
Mess that quite frankly will continue next season if a major change in the club isn’t made .
To say it’s a disgrace isn’t doing it justice but they need to make these changes NOW especially with the season tickets sales about to start.
3 relegations in 5 years when only one in the previous 35 suggests the club has a major problem that lies beyond the players and manager and a huge change is needed throughout the club.A good effort and the conditions and pitch didn’t help and some good performances and at last a decent attacking effort.
That said it all boils down to the same thing and that is we just are not good enough to play at this standard of football and will be most certainly relegated in about three weeks time.
All the faults were evident yesterday with the main one being our inability to score goals against better opposition defences and goalkeepers.
Bogles chance in the first half epitomised that after he had done all the hard work by rounding the keeper he couldn’t do the easy bit by just sliding he ball in and that is down to quality.im afraid because he can’t cut it at this level at the moment .
Relegation is unfortunate but I haven’t enjoyed this season one jot and at least we might see some decent football next year at a level that most of these players will be able to play at.Didn’t score a goal at home all of February ( a record ?) so why are they suddenly going to bash two in?
Without a significant sea change in the attitude of our manager towards attacking football then at best it will finish goalless again at worst I can see those two strikers having a field day.
0-0
0-2 if it goes wrongIf he at last goes for it (some hopes ) then maybe a fantastic 2-0 win for tics
Not getting carried awayto be honest f@@k the floating part timers.
Usually people who were there every week once we hit the premier with replica tops on and the biggest mouths.
They had a chance last summer to purchase 23 games for just over the price of 7 but didn’t and the club has rightfully decided to charge the floaters a high price.
Don’t give me not everybody can afford £179 blah blah blah but the type of people who float are the types who just come down after a recent victory or for a big cup tie.
I appreciate that there is a small element who
Probably couldn’t afford it but given the amount of jags, Mercs and beemers I see around Wigan now I’m sure it isn’t money.
The club has bent over backwards to look after the loyal Wigan supporters and I have absolutely no beef with the £27 price I only wince at their outright stupidity when I see the plebs queuing for them before the game
Our 10k will
Make plenty of noise and given the arrogance and assumptions coming from Nobend I have a funny feeling they may have a little shock coming.Ps I’d put a game against Nobend on par with Bolton although I don’t think there is a much vitriol.
Running on the pitch to congratulate mick Quinn on his debut goal against I think Halifax .
