You sure over react pal but no way should this forum be upsetting you like it does. Its when you start offering to face to face people and being aggressive that it turns idle football chat into something else which as I’m sure you realise in the cold light of day is ridiculous. Happy to shake your hand anytime chief. We are all passionate Latics men and I certainly don’t come on here to upset anyone. Life’s hard enough for all of us and all Wigan Ath is for most of us is a short reprieve in our often mundane lives!

Well this is a real left hook for us all. Before the seasons started a real shot across our sails. Was enjoying the weekend till this post appeared like a bolt from the blue. When our supposed u23 team wins 3 nil away at a conference side whilst our main team draws 1-1 at a division two side it makes you wonder why some of these players aren’t in the first team?
Not saying Clarkes the answer but we lost 4 games from the last 17 when he joined. He scored 3 with 2 assists. Not great but certainly not as bad as what some on here suggest.

32 goals in last 101 games for Leon Clarke at same level. 40k a week be an absolute steal.
Scoring record is horrific and was generally poor for us. In 11 years in Europe has scored only 36 goals at an average of 3 a season. NO thanks.

Though the achievements of our young teams are impressive it has to be remembered that they play at a lower category of football than the Premier league sides and are therefore not exposed week in, week out to top quality opposition. In the FA youth cup when we were pitted against a Category one side we lost 2 nil. Obviously Gelhardt and Jolley are real talents. However, the step up from playing 16 and 17 year olds to men’s football is massive as we all know.
