Think Uwe has finally found his strongest 11 – and no surprise that 8/11 are from last season’s squad.
I’m not sure that Uwe is even looking for his strongest eleven. Circumstances change, and he wants to put out a team that can challenge in every game.
Looking for it or not, based on today’s dire result and performance methinks he now does know his strongest team!
I wonder if after this game, like at Everton last season, Roberto turned to Graeme Jones in the dressing room and once again said “We’ll that’s the best job interview we could have had” ??? ;)

Gomez is too good for the Chsmpionship but probably not fast enough in his role for the Prem. Can see him winning titles in Holland or France though.
Don’t really care where we finish, but would prefer 5th as I reckon playing at home first is a better option for us and Derby over 2 legs will be tough.
Best game I’ve seen from Crainey. – MOM for me.
Not sure I’d have started McEachran or Fortune over Maloney or Powell. And certainly wouldn’t have used Collinson as a sub over Maloney or Caldwell over Barnett. Powell was pants though. Our dip in form has coincided with his return to the team.
For the penalties, you’ve got to send in your best takers first. Jordi should have been #1 to get us off the mark. And never in a million years would I have sent in Caldwell first.
Anyway, now that the distraction is out of the way we can concentrate on getting promoted!
Ali
Boyce Ramis Barnett
Perch Beausejour
Macmanaman Macarthur Maloney
Gomez
PowellLOL – can you hear yourselves? Have you accepted defeat already??
The guy assumes that because we are championship and that if Arsenal play their normal game they’ll beat us. In my book that’s complacency.
So what if he’s 18, not a regular, never heard of Wigan and interviewed by a minor website? If he’s giving that sort of public opinion, imagine what the rest of the squad are thinking
The honeymoon will soon be over for BOB !
Everton have won six games in a row.
Everton 3 Arsenal 0; Everton have beaten Arsenal for the first time since March 2007.
Everton have taken 63 points from 32 games. In 2004/05, they finished in fourth place with 61 points. Osman says; Back then, we were a team out of possession. We’d basically let them have the ball and score on the counter-attack. This season, we are a possession team whether we win or lose.
Is the honeymoon over yet? Yes this might be the signs of a very happy marriage, or could Bob suffer a second season syndrome trying to juggle Champions League / Europa League footy with EPL?
Have to say, yesterday for the first time this season I was happy about Everton winning. Think Bob has done us a big favour for Saturday. All we need now is a big news story on Saturday morning linking him with Wenger’s job ;)
Whatever happens Saturday, we only emerge as winners.
Win and we are in dreamland again.
Lose (as we are expected to) and we exit our defence with heads held high, can concentrate on the league, have 1 fewer game to play and have had a Wembley rehearsal for the play off final.
I agree Barnsley – Arsenal are looking ripe for the taking, so I think we can afford to take a gamble on the team to play Millwall.
I doubt that you have done enough research, or indeed would be able to find out that no club in the 142 history of the fa has referred to themselves as FA Cup champions, either officially, via the terraces or local folklore.Since when have we given a fcuk about history or what other fans think?
Champions of the competition that is the FA Cup; winners of the trophy that is the prize in said competition. Simples.
BTW – Itwasbackintheday – for several years I refused to sing “Blue White Army” as I thought the crowd was chanting “Blue IRA”
Everton 3 Arsenal 0Szczesny
Sagna Mertesacker Vermaelen Monreal
Cazorla Arteta Flamini Rosicky
Giroud PodolskiSubstitutes
Viviano, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey,
Sanogo, Jenkinson, Källström, BellerínIt was a difficult afternoon for Arsenal and an unconvincing display. Wenger will have to pick them up if they are to compete in the semifinal and the remaining league games.
Ramsey came on as a substitute, and may well play on Saturday. Flamini will be suspended. Beyond these substitutes, Wenger has few other players available.
You know, that line up and bench doesn’t actually scare me one bit.
Agree Jimmy. Powell had nil service from a very scrappy, disjointed and often invisible midfield. When he went off we lost almost all attacking presence and it only started to recover once Fortune came on to link up with McLean.
4 for me and I know of at least 10 others, so we must approaching a whole 200 at least! Going to be a nightmare getting to the bar.
Is it the same crew as last year and are you all heading up Kilburn High Street prior to the match like we did for the Final last year?
Tell you what, everyone’s being quite blasé this year and we’ve arranged nout so far! Will let you know tho. Martin’s not going tho is he? Tall Andy’s not either as he’s also on holiday.

Definitely FA Cup – would mean we’re back in Europe too.
